Rottweiler Pictures / Re: The Rottie sad face

Oh, poor little sad faces! Very cute too!  Hehe the treat thing definitely works.  Becca droops when the camera comes out, but the one smiley shot I got of her, I had a piece of cheese in my hand as I took her pic.

I would love to go the the southern cal meet, but I'll be in Fresno next weekend. :'(

Hi from San Luis Obispo!!! howdy neighbor!

McKenzie is a 12 year old german rottie rescued from the pound!

Hey Neighbor! Your rottie is adorable!  My first dog was a Rottie, and I had him for 14 years.  He was quite a fellow.  :D  We have a pound pup, too.  She's a Lab mix, and I still need to make a page for her here.

That would be a blast! We would love to meet you and Sasha, just send me an email the next time you'll be in town.

'Becca really does need play pals.  She can be so shy that I worry about her.  Most of the time at the park, she chooses to stand by the people and pretty much avoids the other dogs lol.  And if the dogs get to rough with each other, she does her best to hide behind me. ::)

What an adorable baby, and I love the name!   :)  Something you said really brought back memories of our Rottie.  When he was a pup, he would get his little belly low to the ground and stalk things, too.  Nothing like a Rottie pup for smiles!

I'm afriad I don't have any advice on the odor, as I've not had that happen before except for the normal cute puppy smell.

You mentioned that this is your first dog, and I wanted to say that my first dog was also a Rottie.  We learned together, though, and my sweet dog lived to be 14 and was a  gentleman to all he met...human, canine, feline.

Be prepared for some people to be a bit weird about your dog.  My dog went everywhere with me, and I just learned to deal with it and tried to educate folks as best I could.  The most important thing is love, discipline, and consistency  with a dog...especial ly one as powerful as a Rottie. Have fun, and enjoy your new baby.  :)  I can hardly wait to see the pics!

Oh how fun! Next time you're in town we should take all the kids to the dog park.  Becca is a shy girl, but I bet she'd think Angus is a cutie pie!

Thanks so much to everyone else for the warm welcome!  BPO became my favorite board to visit mighty quickly...firs t thing this morning I was up and reading posts, and I'm ending my day here too.  You all are so nice and friendly that I feel right at home.  :)

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! We'll post more pics of 'Becca soon.  Sadly, she's not a ham in front of the camera,  so sometimes I must bribe her with cheese to get good pics...the non-droopy type!  :D  Also, I've added my hubby's name to mine. He's been having a blast reading and will be posting too.  Thanks again from the both of us for such a sweet welcome!

Hi Everyone,

I just found this site today, and I'm already hooked!  Rebecca is our big paw girl.  She's a 2 year old Saint and a big sweetie.  She's great with everyone she meets, and has even managed to win over our elderly Siamese cat...which is actually pretty amazing.  'Becca is our first Saint, and the one thing that stands out most about this breed   is their kind hearts.  It's hard to explain, but their sweet temperments just shine through and make all the rest **mumbles something about drool** not such a big deal. :D

I'm having much fun looking at your beautiful dogs and soaking up the great advice here.

Have a great day!

Jen
