ahh thanks guys! Yes, my birthday always follows Bear's so it's easy for me to remember... Ever since he came into our lives, about 4 years ago, he's first, and trumps my birthday. My birthday has always been alone in this part of the season leaving me with all kinds of attention, but Bear just jumped right in, a couple weeks before me, and now I'm just chopped liver. 
Anyway, it's been really nice - Jaime's classroom sent me a nice little voicemail.

It was actually insane how fast that tape went down once they heard about the story that was going to be in the paper.

It's a stretch, but we'll accept the good intentions behind not informing the public about a reopening date (though we doubt heroin users would be eagerly counting the days until they could return to Pershing Square). But the lack of conversation with the interested, active neighbors who reached out is wrong. We expect that regular users of the park would have done whatever they could to help if they knew the situation. Oh right. You can find them just about everywhere! Petco, (not Petsmart unfortunately) Target and Walmart. If you don't see them at your local store, you'll see them soon as they're rolling them out everywhere.
