Good doggies - those pesky squirrels can be vicious little blighters! They're so cheeky and seem to take great delight in teasing the dogs and they're so blase about it because they know they can get away.

What a sweet pair! I'd have LOVED a doggie like that when I was your daughter's age.

Stupid, stupid a$$hole of a man! I don't blame the child or the dog, but it's not fair to risk the child getting bitten again - poor dog is deaf so even if his temperament was perfect (which it probably isn't) it's far too risky. I don't think it's realistic to expect a small child to understand that the dally can be easily startled and frightened into biting her if she approaches him from behind or while he's asleep.

If I was the wife I know what I'd be doing - divorcing the immature idiot I'd had the misfortune to marry! As for the dog, I'm afriad I'd have had him to pts for his own sake. I'd never pass a dog on that had bitten a child so severely, no matter the circumstances. 20-30 stitches isn't a short sharp defence bite, it's an full out attack.

Awwww - what a handsome boy... I'd be grossed out but I own a shar-pei who occasionally foams like she been eating shaving cream.  ;D

He's not JUST a dog... he's YOUR dog. It's like saying to somebody who's child is terminally ill that it's just a kid. It's wrong and insensitive.  >:(

My first dog Dingo had the same thing as Barkley and she seemed to get hot too and would seek out a nice cool spot. I wonder if it's part of the disease or one of the medications? My mum slept with her every night with the fan on her to keep Dingo cool.  :)

Okay, being serious for a moment. It seems quite common for rotties to have a few stray white hairs here and there. They may stay or they may go as she gets older. The only thing to watch out for is the appearance of large white patches as rarely, some rotties can suffer from Vitiligo in their head area.

All I can say is more photos please! Who knows what they will look like or how big they will get - it would be fun seeing them grow up. I know greyhounds look a bit like little stumpy legged jack russells at 7 weeks old, then their legs start growing!

SWEET GRANDMA'S SPATULA!!!...So THAT'S what has been bringing havoc upon my life for all these years! :D

Me too - once I said I'd NEVER own a shar-pei... I'm on my 3rd.  ;D

I think both Samson and badger have been very lucky that they have ended up in good hands. Shame on the breeders and a pox on their big, fat, lying a$$es!

Flynn is sending Kali good TM vibes - he says it'll be especially good as she has a Hindu name as his great, great, great grandma was from Nepal where they worship the goddess Kali. Not quite sure what Libby's doing as she's shaking her head and it sounds like a round of applause!

Good luck at the vets!

Great photos - the sea looks like milk it's so churned up!

You'll have to take Bell & Hovis to Freshfields after the show to see the red squirrels. I keep meaning to get the train and take Flynn, but the squirrels are endangered enough without his help.
