Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: This week's poop question.
« on: August 14, 2008, 07:12:31 am »
Hi,

Winslow is on Canidae ALS (all life Stages), He kind of went through a color change and softening stage, with the new formula, we are still in the first bag.

I think the New formula is like what you are experiencing, in a cold turkey switch, Since most people feeding Canidae, finished the old formula and only could get the "New Formula" the puppers were cold turkey switched, thus the poop problems mentioned in several threads here.

Winslow weathered the "switch storm" and seems to be SOLID again 3/4 of the way through the NEw Formuls "cold Turkey" switch.

For now I'll stay with Canidae, I am not happy that they not only switched formula but made the large Bag 5 lbs smaller and still raised the price!! but so far Winslow seems ok with the product!

Hi,

In the Northeast I have been very pleased with the Play dead collar also.

I still use frontline and also sprinkle some diatomaceous earth in his coat before heading into the woods and SO FAR no ticks ;-)

Hi,

Do you have a lawyer friend or someone who can write a "I am going to Sue the "bejesus" out of you letter" to the TV station!!

You don't need to follow through on that threat but you need some response from them (the station) making them realize they Screwed up!!! I am pretty sure it is Highly Illegal for them to Post your name and address on national TV with out written consent from you!!

So have a official looking letter sent and get something from them!! You can probably get an attorney to do it for free if you tell them why and show them the inmate letters.

Often to many "victums" (and you are a victum here) just do nothing to point out a wrong and hope it goes away. Leaving the TV network to do it again to someone else.

I hope you do let them know how bad they screwed up!!

Voice over work is a booming biz. A good voice is hard to find. I'm sure you'll do fine if you put your mind to it.

Hi Lin,

Thanks it looks like El'skids and I will be working a project together!! Can I say BPO is a great place and great people or what!!

Now if I can just figure out the new software to get the recording done I'll be in business!!

Interesting about how they are made. Too bad they didn't explain though why they are so damn expensive. :-\

My obedience instructor calls them dick sticks.

Hi

AHHH They are expensive becuase of insurance needed for the person who goes in to harvest the things!!! ;)

Hi,

Just make sure the Townhouse board knows how big your pup will get. Some places though dog friendly have weight and size limits. Which never include these big guys size and weight!!

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Canidae: Change in Formula
« on: July 28, 2008, 10:21:57 am »
Hi,

Well I am into the first bag of new formula, (by the way the formula isn't the only new thing) THE BAG IS 5LBS smaller, and priced a bit higher than the old formula  ??? ::)so where is the savings that prompted the change!!

Well Winslow seems to like it, actually a bit more than the old version, :P Everything seems fine going in and comming out!!

Anyone else try the new version???

Hi,

Winslow was named after my Favorite campground in Freeport Maine. It sits right on Casco Bay and is an absolutely beautiful location!!

Plus everyone thinks the name just fits him perfectly!!

Hi,

Winslow is 3 years old and 140 lbs, confirmed by the vet 2 weeks ago!! he gets 2 cups (Canidae ALS) twice a day with additional fish or chicken or oatmeal and grated cheese added, Lately he has been eating less (canidae changed formulas)but I think it is more of a temperature thing, I am eating less too, but he started eating less even on the old formula.

The vet thought his weight was perfect so you seem to be right on food but maybe a little high depending on what (kibble) you are feeding.

PS Hi Erin Great to see you and the Fumb's back on the boards!!

Treatment & Preventative Meds / Re: Nutering a big boy Update
« on: July 08, 2008, 03:17:57 pm »
Hi,

Ok I have another consult with My Vet for thursday to see if a Scrotal Ablation is really necessary, even the tech I spoke with thought the $945 was high and that I probably got a quote "on the high side" just to cover things in case it was needed. So I am meeting with the head guy who would do the procedure to See what he thinks!! ::)
