yes your newf is an irish spotted, but i would never refer to one as miss marked!!  i dont believe thay are a favorite in the ring but they are becoming very sought after. i personally love the markings of a irish spotted myself. and actually breeders will breed to get these markings just like they would to get a landseer newf! your baby is gorgeous!!

an 10 month old newf barely has his adult hair and especially not his feathers. they dont really need to be trimmed down. give the poor baby a hug from here and tell him he is just beautiful even if he looks like a duck!!

not to kick you when you are down but man why go to a vet when you know beforehand that they are going to be that way. i personally would have got that stupid vet to explain away the crappy ingredients in that food she sells.!!!!!!  buy orijen and put it in the hills bag when he is not looking!!!LOL!!

logan i am going to rain on your parade abit!  sorry but we have had 4 newfs turned into rescue this week!!  i am not against newfs in apartments but it is very hard to find an apartment that will allow such very big dogs!! even if your new apartment will the next place you live may not. what if you and your girlfriend dont go the long road the the next girlfriend does not like the drool??  serious questions to think about because you are going to have to be this newfs everything for a long time.

While I too think it's ridiculous, I have to admit that I am really glad that they said they wanted her spayed! At least it means no breeding would be going on.

I too would love a free Newfie!  ;D ;D ;D
ditto!!! guess you cant blame her for trying!!!LOL!

my ozzy has a small white patch on his chest that is not very noticable now and his back foot had white on it but now only shows when his foot hair is too long, he is landseer recessive. now my female stevie who is now 15 months is a black, no landseer in lines, has just gotten a few white hairs on her face near her eye, about 7 hairs but in a spot??? dont know if it will stay or not.

newfs can also grow and mature at different rates!!  some reach most of their growth by one some take up to 3 or longer.
