???I'm still trying to figure out WHAT is was they tore up. It has rubber in it and has different colors, still no idea. wonder if I will find the rest or if they ate it. Also tore up my NEW carpet in the basement, I will blame my son's dogs for that one.

General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Just in case

I don't know if this has been posted before, so I wanted to post it incase someone did not know what to do.
My son's dog ate 10lbs of chocolate one easter and we called the vet. He said to take the dog outside and pour a whole bottle of hydrogen peroxide down his throut. It made him throw up all the chocolate and then some. He was a mess but lived to tell about it.
I just read on another board of a dog eating chocolate and was not a member so could not post. (great dane room)
Sounds and is gross, but it does work.

Last night was very stressful here, (family problems) so when my dogs started barking, I thought they were picking up on it. After telling them to "shut up" and "shhhh" got out the squirt bottle and they settled down. A few minutes later my boyfriend went out to go the store and said " the police are across the street" Some one broke into the little gas station again!! OK, I have to also admitt that this has happened before when I told them to shut up, yep the station was broke into. Duh, when will I learn???

Oh good. sometimes a job is not about the money. I have had jobs that were just short of free labor, but I liked the people and loved the job. I will hope for the best for your family.

I feel that since most of us are into rescue, well hun, you need to be rescued!!! I will be happy to help you come up with some rent money. I wish I could offer you a place to stay but as you know I am over loaded right now. I would love to kick my son out for you and bring you in. but being a mom I can't.

My daughters pit-mix was her first rescue and she brought home this pup the size of a hampster. The parents were eating the pups because they were chained in the back yare with no food. So she bottle fed this pup (who I thought for sure was going to die and he is 6yrs old now) This dog is her heart and soul, she wants to have him stuffed by a taxidermas (sp?) so she will always have him. Sounds wierd to me.

I forgot to add, and this is funny-- Do you remember that he brought his fish too? 3 big fish and one died? Being very tired when it happened I told him to flush it and it clogged up the toilet real bad. Well for Christmas be bought and installed a new toilet!! yep that was my Christmas preseant. a new toilet. Only my kid would think of that.
