I hope Syrus has a speedy recovery. Hopefully next time he won't go diving into the brush but somehow I doubt he's learned his lesson....newf s aren't too bright LOL.  I think you should send your neighbor some sort of gift for being so nice.

Remembering those no longer with us. / Re: Faust's last weekend

I'm so sorry to hear about Faust...it always is so hard to say goodbye even if you know it's coming.  Give him a kiss and a hug for me.  Just remember you are doing what's best for him which is always the right decision.

The treat idea is a good one. Could you maybe use one of the chairs to let them get more to the kids level?  When my grandmother was in the nursing home we used to bring Kali in a lot and she definitely responded better when patients were at her level...of course the beds there are alot lower than hospital beds so she could walk up to them but maybe teaching them to put their front feet on a chair would help them reach without getting on the bed itself.

Good luck with it you're definitely making the patient's day when you visit.  You should also maybe try going to a few nursing homes as well if you have the time as many of the seniors don't get many visitors and they love to see the dogs. The beds tend to be lower and they are frequently in wheelchairs making it easy for the dogs to approach and maybe that could help the dogs associate people in beds with attention.

That was cool!  If you liked it look up Improv everywhere they are awesome it's similar stuff usually around New York City. They have quite a few different videos. The Frozen Central Station one is really good here's the link:

Kali definitely gave me a concussion after pulling me off my feet and I can't count the number of times the dogs have taken me out at full speed or tripped me while I'm attempting to get get the phone LOL!

He is adorable...bri ngs back memories of when Lacey was still a little fuzz-butt.  He looks a lot like she did as a puppy though she always had some puppy pudge.

Haha Fire would either be terrified or beyond overexcited about it.  I fear his lack of coordination would lead to a few spills though LOL!  He fell and crashed into the barn today running around being stupid in the snow so he's on play restriction haha!  Plus I know two nosy young QHs that'd probably love to try it too.

Haha nice to know Leo has his priorities straight who needs elmo when you have a house full of real animals.  It looks like Sophie is his best bud and boy have they both grown and are quite adorable.

Soak your hand in hydrogen peroxide especially the bite too.  Cats have very dirty mouths and you have to worry about infection from that as well. My mom works at a vet clinic and they always get worse infections from the bites then the scratches. If it starts to swell go to the ER right away or else you could lose your hand. You may want to consider going to a local walkin clinic for antibiotics just in case. Hope your hand starts to feel better.  One reason I don't like cats that much is that they can be so unpredictable.

A lot of the local large breed clubs usually do drafting so maybe try to contact them as they could help you get started.  I know at the fundays for the New England Newf Club they have had people there that sell carts and harnesses and who will help you with the fitting....the ones at the last one were actually berner owners/breeders. And I must say your puppy is adorable...I love berners and plan to get one after I graduate hopefully.

Thanks everyone everything is settling down for the moment next semester will be insane but after that I'll have lots more time for BPO. As far as the Christmas pose the key is to get the obedience down and too take lots of pics.  I put them in a sit/down stay and add the hats and it works pretty well.  Kali actually loves dressing up though she sulks when I take the pics go figure haha!  Lacey is a bit more of a challenge as she doesn't like to sit still due to the herding instincts so in half the pics she's looking away or the hats are falling off.  But we've definitely missed you all and hope everyone has a good Holiday Season!
