Every time I read the name of this thread I think of the movie "Never Been Kissed" with Drew Barymore. Her nickname in that movie was Josie Grosey!
Michael,I'm really glad I have Max. He's added so much to my life as have Sam and Duncan. I wonder sometimes what would have happened to him if I hadn't found him. I don't want to turn this into a novel but I found Max and Sam by accident while I was looking for a Newfoundland puppy. I had lost my Newfy Molly the previous summer and I really missed having a Newf in my life. None of the few local breeders here in Maine had litters with available puppys so I started checking out Puppyfind on the web. Max was on one of the Newf breeders sites as well as several of his brothers and sisters. It probably sounds silly but I felt some kind of connection when I saw his pictures and I knew I wanted him. I was only looking for one puppy but I was also drawn to Sam. All the brothers and sisters were very cute puppys but Sam was different. He was tiny and almost homely and you could tell that there was something not quite right about him. I don't know why but I had this feeling that if I didn't take him that nobody else would want him. So, I took both of them and I'm very glad I did.
I'm so glad that Max has you!
Thank you all for your suggestions. The trip is still 8 weeks away but I'm already getting nervous about it.

There was a kidnap list for Sadie, it was just so sophisticated and deadly serious that we kept it totally on the down low. Nobody breathed a word of it on the boards. Oh and BTW, she is still on it, we figure we don't even have to cover her head with a potato sack, since she conveniantly wears a tube on it already!Heehee...if y'all didn't want to steal her, I'd worry she was dorky looking or something...OK here she is with my 3 1/2 year old neice.Â
LOL I know what you mean. I remember when I first posted Sadie pics and nobody wanted to kidnap her, we felt very dejected. Maybe BPO knew something I didn't about her....
Gossy has the cutest little mug EVER! She's just been added to the kidnap list at our house
Thanks for all the gushing guys! It helps to remember how much we wanted her and how cute she is when she is biting/chewing/peeing in the house/yanking Badger's ears......
How is Sadie?
Heehee...if y'all didn't want to steal her, I'd worry she was dorky looking or something...OK here she is with my 3 1/2 year old neice.Â
I think it takes a couple of weeks for the hormones to get completely out of her system....but I don't think it changes their personalities at all. Mr. Roaming Man Chester does stay home now, since his neuter, but he's still the most energetic Newf I've ever seen!!!
We were lucky then, Sophie was conked out for two days.
But like I said she's back to her old self. Found some cat poop last night, rolled in it, got it stuck in her hair and ate what didn't get stuck. YAY! THAT was not fun, especially the smell. WHY do they eat poop? This is the first time I've seen her do that.
But no, she's still a 90 mile a minute dog Give her a couple more months. Bava all of a sudden chilled out. He actually likes being brushed now and will let you do it without trying to bite the brush.
