Chow Discussions & Pictures / Happy Anniversary/Mother's Day!
« on: May 14, 2006, 03:25:47 pm »
It is Tsu and my 12th anniversary!  I got her on Mother's Day 12 long years ago.  Boy have we been thru a few things, three states, too many boyfriends, 10 houses/apts, one kitty, one puppy and too many pig ears to count!   :-* :-* :-*Love you Tsu!! :-* :-* :-*

We've had gang activity in our house today!

It's official, we are part of the Suspicious Chicken "gang"!  I guess playing with it at the store made Zac think it was just as much his as it was Boudreaux's so they ganged up on the poor featherhead!

Today Matt (Hghlndr) took the physical testing for the Tuscaloosa Police Department.  Now step one, the background check/integrity test were cake.  Steps 3 and 4, the lie detector test and psychological evaluation will be no problem either...but this darn step 2!  I think we were BOTH nervous about it!  It consisted of 25 military style sit-ups, 22 military style push-ups, 1.5 mile run in <15 minutes and a 90 second limit obstacle course (car pushing, window entry, fence jumping, dead weight pulling, etc).  I just got a call and he PASSED!!   Not bad for an old guy THAT DIDN'T TRAIN FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS!!  Yay Daddy, we are SO PROUD OF YOU!!

Here is a new update...I left the old photos and added a two new ones from this morning.  Holy Gassya55 Batman, the pup is still growing!!  Now it is starting to look as though Tsu is actually shrinking!

Poor Chicken...he has become paraplegic AND lost both feet in a freak accident.   :'(

Just hangin' out with my Tsu...

There are so many new puppies this spring!  I thought even though we introduce them on their own thread, that it would be cool to have a thread for ALL the new puppers and look them over at once.  Pupper Overload!! :o

Here are a couple of Boudreaux from yesterday at 9 weeks and 4 days.

American Mastiff Discussions & Pictures / Boudreaux met the Vet!!
« on: April 21, 2006, 08:37:10 am »
We had our 9 week shots this afternoon.  The vet techs all loved him and he got lots of loving.  Our "Ragin Cajun" tips the scales at 18.4#! He was such a good boy.  The Dr. felt him all over and when he laid down the vet put him onto his back with no resistance.  He was so impressed with his temperament but of course I already knew he was a great dog!

No accidents tonight either.   :)  "What a good boy!!" :-*

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!  I forgot to b%^&h when it happened and the "dangerous dog photo" thread reminded me of it.  The night we brought Boudreaux home my SIL was watching our son at the house.  She and her two kids (8&9)were loving on him and she made the comment, "I need to love on you now because when you get big I'll be too scared!"   >:( >:( >:( >:(  So of course that pi553d me off and I looked at her and said, "Why does big have to mean scary?  He isn't going to bite people all the time like Belle did (her nasty,$400, bit anyone that tried to touch her, kept her for 2 months before taking her to the shelter, chi)"  And I am sure I had a  >:( look on my face.  Her only comment back was, "Oh, I won't have another chi." And her new husband said, "Yea, we will have a chocolate Lab"  HELLO!  CHOCOLATE LAB...BIG DOG!  ::)  So then later her daughter made a comment about being scared of Boudreaux when he gets big too.  I told her she will just have to come visit him as he is growing so you won't be scared when he is big.  There is no reason to be scared just because he is big.  Maybe his size will just keep them away all together.  >:(

WTFWTFWTF!!!!!!!!  AAAAAAAAARRRRR RRRRGGGGGGGGGH HHHHHHHHH!!!!!

American Mastiff Discussions & Pictures / Boudreaux's First Weekend
« on: April 16, 2006, 05:11:43 am »
Here are a few more photos from yesterday/today.  I promise not to post 1,000,000 photos...just half a million!   ;)

We are leaving today after work to go get Boudreaux!  Of course we won't get into Cincinnati until the wee hours of the morning.  Then we have to sleep and drive another hour tomorrow morning to get to the breeder!  I swear, I don't think the hands are moving on my office clock...Four o'clock will NEVER get here!

Last night after we went to bed, out of the dark, dh said, "I hate nerves!"
I said, "The puppy?"
"Yea, it is like Christmas Eve..." (how cute is that!?)

So sad this puppy will have no love at our house.  ;)

Oh another note...this past weekend we went to Pet Supplies Plus and got last minute items.  Zachary saw some puppies up for adoption in the back and whooped and squealed and got SO excited!  I can't wait to see how he reacts Saturday morning when he gets to interact with our new baby.   ;D

Rare Breed Mastiff Discussions / Ideas for Registered Name??
« on: April 06, 2006, 04:15:05 pm »
With Boudreaux coming in a week, Matt and I were thinking about a registered name and can come up with nothing.  He is coming from Flying W and his parents are Rufus and Grettle.  ugh.  How do you come up with something manly from that????  Maybe something Cajun?  Any ideas will be appreciated.
