I am new to the site so I am getting caught up on all the reading.Â
I just want to sympathize with you. I got my chow (Tsu) in 94 and being a single 23 year old woman then, she became my furchild. I just don't think some people get it. Especially the non-animal and faux animal people. As I see it, there are three types of people, non-animal people, faux animal people (the ones that
say they are animal lovers but can get and give away/put down/drop off pets that are a bother for some stupid reason, then there are people like the ones here on BPO.Â

My mother-in-law cannot comprehend WHY we would want an American Mastiff (who will be here around Easter). "They are so big! You aren't going to have it in the house are you?" UGH. I would rather have an AM in my house than my sister-in-law's Pom who yaps all the time, jumps off and on you the minute you are still, is up in your face and spazzy and wasn't trained properly to go OUTSIDE to potty. Yes, my sis-in-law is a faux animal person. My mother-in-law has always had poodles so my chow's hair makes her crazy and the sheer size of an AM is about to do her in. LOL! I think they just need something to complain about sometimes.Â
Keep your chin up (rugburn sucks!) and when you feel down, just get a hug and a lick from your furbaby!Â
