I realize that Shamus is only four and a half months old,  however he follows me to every room. He cries at the bathroom door when I shut it. He is asleep right now at my feet while I am infront of the computer.
If I were to get up right now he would be right behind me. He gets left for maybe an hour a day and he doesn't destroy anything but I know he has barked himself into a frenzy because when I get home he is still barking. How can I help him get over this?

I have never owned one however did great research because DH wanted one. They, like everyone else has said, dig but the main thing is they are hunters by nature. They hunt to survive and will leave to find a hunt. It doesn't matter how much you feed them they want wild. The book "Call of the wild " is exactly what they hear the call of the wild.

I can totally relate. The first anniversary DH and I went out for was our tenth. BUt now that our two oldest are 15 and 13 and the two youngest are 7 and 8 the two older one babysit if we want to go out for a few hours.

Prayers your way.
Call the Sherriff's office they usually do animal control when the pound is closed. They will take a description and keep it so if someone calls in they will call you.
