Anything Non-Dog Related / Re: Boyfriend vs. Dogs = Heartbreak
« on: September 03, 2006, 01:27:53 pm »
I am late weighing in on this, Moon, but I just wanted to tell you how strong you are to do this.

NEVER EVER EVER lose yourself.  It's much easier to keep firm grasp on who you are now than it is to try and reclaim yourself after you've been in a long-established relationship/marriage (experience talking here!  currently going through this while working on our marriage  :-\ )

Be strong and do what your heart, head and gut tell you. And give your pups a hug.  They will be true to you always.

Oh my gosh, I'm so loving seeing everyone's "Paw Prints"!  The dogs are all just beautiful and I want to love on them all!  :D

And the shedding...Lor d, does it ever end?!  We brush the equivalent of a good-sized puppy off of each dog a couple of times a week.  And still we have drifts of dog hair along the baseboards!

jacyone

Oh, thank goodness it's not just me, jacyone!  I was beginning to wonder if I had become a horrible housekeeper because I just keep finding piles of hair everywhere!

That is so awesome!  I would like to do something like that with Delly but have to tame the wild beast in him (aka letting him grow up and get through his puppy stages)

;D  While I am LMAO, I wonder how his fellow pooches feel about the goofiness that is now Kirby!

LMAO at the cotton candy comment too!  So true!

Beautiful babies!  Welcome back.  I'm Amy and am owned by Dell, a white shepherd/lab (?) mix.

You mean the blowout eventually ends?  It's been almost non-stop since spring and I am REALLY sick of the mountains of WHITE dog hair all over the place.  I even found a piece in my toothbrush that I keep inside the bathroom cabinet.

Michelle Kay!  Only you would take a picture of your kitchen floor..ROFLMAO

Jackie
Look Jackie...You're probably not going to believe this but there was alcohol involved. :-\ :D
& check this out!...The same floor like 15 minutes later.

Oh Miss Sheba!  You are truly an artist!

I sweep and then I use the Swiffer wet for everyday use.  The only time I actually mop is when we're having company over as Dell can also manufacture mud when we're in the middle of a drought...wadi ng pool + dusty spot + big white dog = one happy, muddy dog.  In our house we call it Muddogging. :-\

Thanks!  I keep forgetting, too!  We're staying on Hood Canal in WA for a few days so it should be perfect viewing!

If I were to be able to have this time alone I would go to the library or book store and stock up on books; head to Blockbuster and rent all the movies I've wanted to see but didn't because nobody else is interested in them (chick flicks, foreign films, etc); I would purchase only food that could be made quickly OR I would order in; and I would definitely get a manicure/pedicure/haircut.

Lucky YOU!  Not many people get such an extended stretch like this to enjoy!

What a JERK!!!  Is there a way to keep him from coming over?  Do you live with your sister?  Maybe you need to address this with her.

and why on earth would you want to introduce a bad habit to a dog?  That astounds me!

If your sister won't do anything about him, I would suggest telling him that he is not allowed to interact with your dog unless you are present.  If he doesn't like it, that's too bad.  YOUR DOG, YOUR RULES.  JACK@SS!!!

She is so sweet!  I wish I could but I'd be out on the street like Tajsa!
