Hi everyone!
mack got his final set of shots for everything last Monday, and i was wondering if anyone knew how long they take to come into effect? i called one vet and she said 2 weeks, the other vet said, as long its his last and not first set of vaccines, he should be good to go now. Anyone have any idea? There's some cases of parvo in our town right now so i don't want to take any chances but my poor dog hasn't been on a walk since Aug. 17th(he was supposed to go on the 18th for his shots but our appointment was cancelled so we had to wait till the 28th with no walks in between of course) and hes starting to be a real jerk cause hes restless and bored..



so anyone have any input on this? or maybe where i could find more info?

they had a trial pair at the vet, so i stuck em on mack...and snapped a pic on my cell phone...he actually liked them!

when i take my dog outside in the morning to use the bathroom...or at night before bed..he just wont listen to me! when i tell him to come(which he hardly does any other time) he just runs away....when i try and catch him he runs away. He'll grab something in his mouth and want me to chase him. How do I make him see that when we are out there at night or in the morning its business time, not play time?

Macks snazzy red collar had dyed his neck pink! I tried shampooing it with whitener to get it out, but its pretty subborn! anyone have any ideas....pink is not a good colour on Mack!

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone's saint has had this or knows anything about it? Mack has been sick for a few days now...just general not feeling very good, being blah, having the poops, not eating. so i took him to the vet and we got him some new food  because the vet said the food we had him on wasnt helping him at all(he only gained 4 pounds in 3 weeks) anyway. he seems to be feeling better now, hes playful again and everything.... only now we have a new problem! he drools! usually hes pretty dry mouthed, only drools after he has a drink....or when hes on a really long walk. but now when hes sleeping his whole neck and his head is soaked in drool! up to his ears! also hes got sort of pinkish staining around his lips now! and a spot of almost purple staining(looks like tear stain) on one of his lips.

Do saints just all of a sudden one day start drooling?  also this much? maybe he is teething?

I read somewhere that its good for large breed dogs, to keep thier joints all in good working order. Does anyone give it to thier dogs? How old should the dog be before you give it to them? Any info would be awesome!

How did you all do it? I tell my dog come...he just looks at me, maybe sits down, has a break....anyth ing but come. He actually comes like 40% of the time, or if he thinks im going to leave him he comes running. Hes 4 months old now, so I'd like to get this down pat before hes a 200 pound beast, then I wont be able to make him come inside when he doesnt want to!
