Hello
I have a dilemma and need advice and knew BPO is a good place to turn to. My aunt past away in March and she had a 2-3 year old cat who since her death has been to two relatives homes. the first one wasn't working b/c the kids had allergies now the cat "wilson" is at my sister's house which is not a good situation b/c their German Shepard would probably kill the cat if she could. so the cats hides/lives in the basement (the basement isn't in any good condition to begin with) I feel so bad for wilson. he has been through so much. I am considering taking him b/c im almost positive my house would be a better environment for wilson. I have a Saint 100lbs and a mix 50lbs- I know they will  be crazy at first seeing Wilson and maybe would want to play/rough house him. I know they wouldn't hurt wilson and would not treat him like my sisters German Shepard does now. i am just really nervous b/c my dogs go nuts at neighbors cats when they see them outside but i feel like if my husband and i brought the cat in ourselves they would know it was ok. I was wondering if anyone has been through this situation before if you can advise me on the best way to intro "wilson" to my dogs "will and grace". The point is i don't want to put this cat in any more stress than it has already been through but I cant stand the situation it is in now- i think it is inhumane. No one else in the family can take the cat... I just don't know how to go about this??? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

Little did she know I ordered "Will and Grace" Woody and Buzz Lightyear costumes about 4 hours earlier!! :) I can't help it- they'll look so darn cute. I'll post their pictures once I get the costumes in. I ordered from buycostumes.co m if anyone interested. Have a good day!

I am so sorry about Roxy- that just broke my heart... Iggy is your life saver and I'm sure he will give you lots and lots of love. He is so darn cute and looks like he is well behaved from the pics. Did you get a keg/barrel for him yet? I got Grace one from Ebay and it is in good condition. It dispenses liquid so it is neat and everyone loves to see her with it on. Well, take care and keep me up to date w/ Iggy's progress and growth :)

Hello,
I had a shar-pei/lab mix (Will) and brought home a st. bernard pup (Grace) when he was just under 1. I brought Grace right in the house and they instantly began rough housing w/ each other (it seemed like they were fighting but they weren't- I just wasnt use to seeing dogs play like that) I let will sleep on the bed as ususal and grace on floor- and it is still that way now 2 years later. I crate my dogs in a huge x-large cage when I leave. grace the saint likes to chew wood so i cannot trust her. I could leave willy out of crate but he wants to go in crate w/ her. They are best friends to this day and still play rough w/ each other. your golden should be fine- they hv good teperments. Good luck to you and my advice on hving 2 dogs- once you have the 2nd you wonder what the first would of done w/o them!
P.S. I wouldnt change your golden's routine too much though when the new pup arrives- he may get upset...

Hi,
Her name is Gracie and she is 2 years old. It is my first Saint and I would get another though.  A male next time b/c I love the big "block head" look- LOL. Is Iggy a pup? Looks like he's going to get huge... So cute though. Is he as big of a baby as Grace? She has a older brother named Willy or Will. I call them will and grace. Here is a picture of both of them... Does Iggy bark alot? Grace does and I thought she would grow out of it but she loves attention and when she doesnt get it-woof woof! the slober is manageable she is so great with kids (may knock them over once or twice unintentionall y but never mean) Is Iggy your first saint? have any other pets?

Hello all! Its so nice to talk to other Saint owners. My Saint's name is Gracie and she has an older brother named Willy who is a shar-pei/lab mix. Grace is 2 years old, about 110 lbs and so adorable. She is such a big baby and is also a lap dog wanna be... She eats anything in site and loves to sleep- especially on her back all sprawled out. We have a hard time keeping her off the bed in the early morning and most of the time she stays in bed after my husband and I get up. She is great around kids and loves her baby pool! I buy clothes and accessories for her and Will and I think I have 100+ pictures I can share. Taking photos is a hobby of mine and since I do not have babies yet- My dogs have to be my babies until thenĀ  :) I hope to share stories and photos will all the other Saint owners and look forward to hearing all about your gentle giants! P.S. any advice on how to keep her off the bed or best way to teach tricks??? (she doesnt seem to catch on too quickly or have any interest in learning tricks?)
