We had a gorgeous weather on my Birthday and I was sooo tired from bowling games the night before but Lily insisted taking me to a nice Park with Dam in it  :P ::) What a great time that was!  :)

Anything Non-Dog Related / Question for cats owners

I haven't had a cat in 10 years and too lazy to research cat treats for my friend since MANY of you have cats and know about the good stuff  ;D

Are there are good dental kind of treats for cats out there? Chews, etc? My friend's vet said that there is nothing  :-\

Anything Non-Dog Related / Do you know the wood? NDR PIC

I have been renovating our living/dining room area the past month or so and bought new dining room set (almost new from craigslist). I have no idea what wood it made out of and I don't know how to clean it  :-\ :P ::)
Please help! I don't want to mess it up. The furniture smells fantastic. The table I had before was so old that I never bothered cleaing or polishing it.
Any ideas on smelly wood and how to clean/polish it?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
There is magic in the air
The house is all trimmed and ready
with beautiful Pyrenees hair.

We have the perfect answer
To create this fenstive scene
Because living with us in our house
is a built in snow machine.

Who needs silver glitter
or tinsel for the tree,
when our Pyrs can provide it,
and it's all furnished free.

It's amazing what one can do
with this long and shiny hair.
It clings so nice to everything
and fits in anywhere.

And when your friends drop by to visit
and drink a cup of cheer,
There is a gift for them to take back
from your faithful, loving Pyr.

So here is to Pyrenees fur
Forever may it thrive

Behavior, Housebreaking, Obedience / To wag or not to wag?

I would like to hear what you all think about the dog who is not greeting its owner  :-\
Before I bought a puppy I was reading all kinds of books regarding training etc. and it says that we should not make a big deal out of leaving or coming home so the dog doesn't develop a separation anxiety.
I never looked back when I was leaving and I would not even pat Lily until she is nice a relaxed upon my return. After about a year Lily wouldn't even get up when I was leaving or coming home. A couple of months ago she stopped coming downstairs when I get home from work. She would come down about an hour or so after me being home.

I remember a while ago somebody here mentioned that tail wagging means insecurity  :-\ Is it?
Those of you who have dominant dogs...do they greet or not?
I can't say I don't like it...I just haven't heard of a dog who doesn't meet the owner by the door  ::) :P

P.S. She does greet us like crazy if we are out late night. It's just after work thing...maybe she feels how tired I am and gives me some space? LOL

Lily is shedding like crazy now and my arms are numb from grooming every day but gawd...she doesn't have to eat it all! LMAO!!!

Hello BPOers!!! I am back and have tons of catching up to do  :-[ My trip went well...it could be better if it wasn't 90F every day and no air conditioners at all. I was SUFFERING!
I picked Lily up last night and she is miserable :'( She lost tons of weight and looks like a dead walking dog :( In addition to that she has a huge hot spot on her butt. My friends said she was really happy to play with dogs and meeting new people but she wasn't eating well and pooped in their house quite a few times...stinke r!
Soooo, I have plenty of trips to McDonald's and sleepless cooking night ahead of me, LOL!
What's new with you all?
