Is she a rescue?

Yes she came from Boston Terrier Rescue Group here in Ontario ~ not abused in any way family was going through a divorce and she was the last to come into the home and the youngest pet that they had (T.Poodles & cats)that went with them.
I took her to the off leash dog park on Sun for alittle bit on a lunge line and she did really well...doesn't come back :-[ she really enjoyed playing with the little dogs but acouple med/large chased her and WOW did she get ugly!!!And crap she's crazy fast(you must remember I'm now used to Miss Libby)at a relaxed pace, no need to rush things ;D

Thanks for the welcome back I've missed you guys but with the nice weather, new girl,kids.....I hope to make it back on more regular  :-*

Oh ya she came with the name...thought about a change but it grows on you...

Well I know I've been MIA for alittle while WOW where has the time gone?? We've been very busy, this little girl came to us almost 3 weeks ago. 'Stormy' just turned 3yrs last Thursday, she is WONDERFUL!!! She is a little spit~fire full of spunk and energy that we haven't seen in AAAAAlllong time. She makes Miss Libby young and playful(well not really;)) but she has put a spring in her step since she came. She is crate trained/house trained, good with the kids and cat the only problem we have is fence aggrassion with the dumb a** dog nextdoor. So here she is...

Can you explain the name Me Not Know lol.  So unique :)

When we got the hamsters my son(then 3yrs) we kept asking him what he was going to name her...he came up with 'Runny' cause she loves to run in her wheel...umm lets think of another name ok?? He thought for acouple days and didn't think of another one and every time someone would ask him her name it's always been the same 'MNK'  ;D

We sat her down after school and told her about 'Polly' and the first thing out of her mouth was "well she was a good hamster, can I get another one?" So I'd say she is fine about it, we've had alot of loss this past year and I think telling them the truth about it helps alot. So now they are going to share 'Me not Know'

Well today was a sad/funny(haha) kinda day. My daughter's class was having community helpers come in a talk well Grandma runs the OSPCA here and she went in to talk.

Grandma got here and the school called sorry no cats could come(this is after we had checked and double checked to see if this was ok) so the teacher had already told the class that Grandma was bringing in a pet so after some quick thinking...let s bring in my daughters hamster 'Polly'.

Not to worry she's very friendly, active etc...we load 'Polly' up in the car I check cause she's usually very active..I tap on the top of the cage..Grandma's like should I go back inside and bring some treats??? Ummm no, no I don't think so.. She was rock solid!! But on the way back into the house to get my son's hamster 'Me not Know' we came up with some awful things we could have said if we hadn't realized before we got to the school...heeeh eehee "sssshhhh children we have to be very quiet so we don't wake her","aaaawww doesn't she look so cute all curled up in a ball sleeping" and it went on and on...I am a very sick and twisted mama!!!

So on with the story we get to school my daughter has now told everyone that 'Polly' is coming and we get there she's like what where's 'Polly'? Why did you bring 'MNK'? Grandma goes on to tell the class that hamsters don't live that long and etc... one little boy pipes up "sometimes if you forget to feed your hamster they die right?" Yup your right little boy that's why you have to feed them all the time Grandma says very calmly heeheehee(that is not why she died) she came to us as an adult we have no idea how old she was. So anyways RIP 'Polly' the hamster, hope you had fun time living here  :-*

I am already researching Newfoundland breeders!!  Jeff hasn't said yes, yet...but he hasn't said no either and that's a hopeful sign.  If he had said no right off the bat, then that's a sure sign I'm out of luck!

HAHAHA...HEEHE EHEE Now I THOUGHT I was the only one that thought like this...I do the exact same thing  :D

Hey Dan,
Not sure what kinda stuff you are looking for but I can tell you alittle about Libby living with small children.

When Libby came to us she was already 3.5yrs old had lived with a single person that for work traveled alot. She was returned to the breeder because of this. I contacted a rescue group and they reffered me to her breeder. That is how she came to us.

My children at the time were almost 3 and just over 1. She would shy away from them at first but I made sure that they always had a treat and that we would just sit and pet her, she has NEVER shown her teeth. All I can say is that she is the best dog ever now with children, I run a home daycare and she loves all my kids she is kind and gentle, very aware of where everyone is at all times, she knows she is lower on the totem pole, they can leave their snack on the coffee table and it not be touched unless its a carrot or apple then its fair game. She doesn't jump at them, she has bumped them(trying to get away from something)she is a scaredy dog with adults and picks and chooses who she likes but with the kids she is the best.
Not sure if thats what you are looking for?
