Thank you! I want 2 anyway and this way Tonka will always have a playmate! She is mostly a daddy's girl so hopefully the next one will be mommy's girl! Keep you fingers crossed for me.

She has been doing better until last night with the panting, but it was also about 82 deg. here yesterday and even though we had the ac on it was about 73 in the house. So today we went and bought a cool bed they have them for large dog also, you fill it with 6 gal of water and it stays cool and is actually comfortable. Just getting her off the couch to lay on it is a hard thing. The only thing she could be stressed about is her friends, the dogs behind us don't socialize with her as much now that she is getting bigger and she has ran the fence with them since we got her! It really makes me mad! She went outside today to play with them and they turned away, it was so sad to see her, she was all ready to come inside, so we took her to PetsMart and then to go eat lunch at Sonic, that is her saturday treat, she goes and sits under the table while we eat and everyone adores her. Will keep you posted on our next child, we may adopt one from a rescue shelter!

Well, she has not tried her little act again! We have had some problems at night now with her panting, we have a fan at her crate and even let her lay in bed with us last night for a little while, is there anything we can do to cool her down?

Thanks, she is 17 weeks old. I love the play pen because she can move around in it and go to her crate to sleep.

As some of you may know Tonk stays in a dog play pen while we are working. Well today Brandon called and told me that she was waiting on him when he came home from work looking out the window! Fortunately she only tore up on of her toys and only had 2 accidents (one was pee and one vomit) neither of them very bad. Who knows how long she was out roaming the house and did not even touch the garbage can which was pretty much full, I left about 7:10 and he got home around 5:15. Seems that she either climbed on her crate and jumped out of the playpen or somehow delatched the bottom latch, has this happened to anyone else?

Food Discussion & Information / Re: Bill Jacks

I have heard of it, we have only tried the treats and she loved them, my vet said it was an ok food. Have you tried Eukenuba? That is the only thing that does not bother my dogs stomach. The groomer that cuts her toenails swears by Bil-Jac and Eukenuba, she states that they are about the same, but since I have only tried the treats that is the only thing I can tell you about.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: Poison Ivy

What type of garlic pills? I would love to use more natural remedies than medication. The vet says no fleas which is good but last night after she went to the park we pulled off 2 ticks, we also put lime down in our yard, seems copperheads are roaming the area, my neighbors dogs were bit and were paralyzed for 3 days.  I am going to research the difference in K9 Advantix and Frontline to see which one would be best, right now the K9 Advantix is wonderful with mosquitoes and fleas and most of the ticks were dead when we pulled them off.

Thanks, well good news! It isn't as bad as it looks, she has a bacterial infection with yeast also. So we are on meds with spray and a flush for everytime she goes potty. Try cleansing a mal between their legs on their tummy everytime they go potty, not an easy task. I will keep the other remedies in mind since she does walk at a local park every day.

We believe our mal have poison ivy, has anyone has to deal with this, I am taking her to the dr at 9:00 this morning, but am not sure exactly what they will do for it. Will keep you posted. Also what kind of flea and tick medicine are your dogs on? We are on K9 Advantix but are still getting ticks!

I live in Charlotte, NC I will try to help you out, I hate to hear that they will not allow him. What if you offered to pay a deposit until they see how he is.  That is ridiculous. I will let you know if I can find someone.

Ok, well I don't have a couch pic yet, but sure one is coming soon. I was out of town for the weekend and came home to my 4 leg furry child and boyfriend. Well you guys know who I hugged and kissed first, Tonka, then she decided that she was going on the couch, which she is not allowed, well was not allowed until today. She used my boyfriend as a human trampoline as she ran through the house and jumped on the couch with me then pushed me off with her legs! Boy is she strong and is almost 17 weeks old. She is such a riot. She thinks that she is all that now that she can get on the couch with us. Sure to have a cute couch pic soon.
