I saw this fridge magnet on e b a y and thought it was cute!
If you can't read it, it says

If I like it ,it's mine
If it's in my mouth, it's mine
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine
If I take it from you, it's mine
If it's mine, it must never be yours
If it just looks like mine, it's mine
If I saw it first, it's mine
If you are playing with something else and put it down, it's mine
If I'm chewing something up, all the pieces are mine
If it used to be yours, get over it
If it's broken, it's yours

Does anyone know of any articles supporting the benefits of such a program? I would like to get Roxy certified through the Delta Society Pet Partners program and would love to bring her into our classroom. I would like some articles to back the benefits when I submit my request to the Board of Education. Thanks

Leonberger Discussions / Leo...kinda!!
« on: June 18, 2005, 06:31:53 pm »
This is Roxy. She is a 13 week old Newf/Saint mix. Momma was a Newf, Poppa was a Saint. I think she kind of looks like a Leonberger now but I guess I will have to see what she looks like as she gets older. She is a real clown. Can anyone give me some definite advice on protein/fat/calorie percentages that a puppy should have? I get different opinions from  just about everyone!!

Roxy is 13 weeks old and thinks that we live in the house with her just to open the door for her visitors!! She greets everyone so enthusiastical ly that sometimes it is very overwhelming. What is the proper way to teach her greeting manners? With humans AND other animals.

HELP!!!
I have a 10 week old newf/saint mix. I am trying to house break her but she has her own ideas. I was trying to do it without a crate and just confining her to a 4x 8 area with outside access. She just doesn't get it!
If I get a crate, what should the day look like?
Thanks

Liberty, on top of being epileptic has just been diagnosed with Addisons Disease. I need to find a pharmacy in Canada(because they are much cheaper) for her meds for this disease. I will continue to purchase her seizure meds from here because they are working fine and I don't want to mess up a good thing. As I understand it, these new meds will be $75.00 a month from the U.S. and about $25.00 a month from Canada. We are already paying $80.00 a month for her seizure meds.
Any info would be great!
Thanks

Saint Bernard General Discussions / Do dogs get colds?
« on: April 13, 2005, 05:00:01 pm »
Liberty has been sneezing and only eating about half of her usual intake of food for about a week. At first I thought that maybe it was because the weather is starting to warm up a bit but it has been chilly again for the past 2 days and she seems like she is getting less and less interested in her food. I feed her dry kibble so I added green beans(which she used to like), some white rice and even some apple. She will go over, sniff it and walk away. Her only treats are salt free rice cakes which she also used to love. She will take them in her mouth and then leave them on the floor.
She is epileptic and takes kbr and phenobarb. She is also on a thyroid medication. She just had her med levels checked about 4 weeks ago and they were all good.
