That pic is too cute. :) I wish I would have been prepared enough to put a pic like my avatar on my cards...I thought putting Gracie and Thorn in antlers, then Morgayne in a santa hat would be cute.

Wolfhound Discussions & Pictures / Re: 4 dogs?
« on: November 26, 2007, 03:56:45 pm »
I love the black IWs (I didn't even know they came in black till I saw the little sweetie on here) We have had 4 dogs for years... 2 danes and 2 min-pins, then we lost our oldest dane, and got our IW...then had to re-home a min-pin and ended up with another Dane, so 4 is our # I guess. However thorn (dane) is 8 yrs. and Dixie (min-pin mix) is 5. The 2 pups are 9 months...and it would be total chaos if we added another young dog. I want a black dane girl soooo bad, I even saw the perfect girl on a local classified, but I know it would be too much (she was only a month older than the girls...eeek). With the dogs we have now, I feel comfortable with the attention they get etc.

Mixed Breed Discussion / For those that remember Beau...
« on: November 25, 2007, 09:33:48 am »
finally I went to visit him! Short re-cap...I rescued Beau from the local pound. he was going to be PTS because he had heartworm. He is a 2 year old Saint mix. Anyway many kind folks here donated to help with his treatments. After several months of searching for his "forever home" My mother-in-law was visiting and Beau and her Newfie pup were like best buddies, he went home to 17 acres in Kentucky.

We went there over the wekend, I wondered if he would even know me. Well he was all over me. He was my lapdog all weekend, he tried to sleep in bed with me!!!! She said he NEVER gets on the furniture, she was shocked at how glued to me he was. Unfortunatly I forgot the camera, he looks great other than he likes to play in the burrs. I brushed him about 4 times, and every time he went out he brought more in. LOL And it was so cute to see him, the Newfie (Hagrid) and her Golden (Opie) wrestling all over the house and yard. He is so happy. he did however get in my van several times, and finally after saying my goodbyes, we got in the van to leave, and he followed us all down the drive!!! I was a wreck, honestly when he was here I didn't think he gave 2 craps about me, but man was I wrong. I wish it wasn't a 4 1/2 hour drive, I want to see him more often. :(

Great Dane Discussions / Re: bumps on my pups head
« on: November 19, 2007, 09:22:48 am »
All 3 of my danes had some form of bumps on their heads as pups...with Tisha and Thorn it was puppy acne. (had litle white heads) Grace had red bumps on her head when she came here. She was also infested with fleas. Once the fleas were gone, it took a few weeks, then the bumps were gone. Just incease I would have your vet check it. Could be acne, bug bites, rash, or even staph infection etc.

This brings up questions n my mind. My Gracie (9 month dane) has had a bit of "stringy stuff" on and off since we got her.Seems to come and go. I notice it every few weeks. It is clear/whitish and no smell. she licks a bit when she has it...but doesn't seem to bothered by it. I guess I will have the vet take a look at her and see if she could have an inverted vulva (can you see it by looking at it?)

Collars, crates, & other cool things / Re: My newest sculpt, my Tisha
« on: November 15, 2007, 03:12:13 pm »
Thanks everyone. I made a Bull Mastiff for my vets office awhile back, and I am trying to do a Pyr right now.I have been busy making ornaments and stuff for Christmas, but I took a break because the time seemed rigt to try to sculpt my girl... I love it, it makes me smile. They may not be "lifelike" statues, but they capture the personality of the pup I think. :)

Collars, crates, & other cool things / My newest sculpt, my Tisha
« on: November 14, 2007, 11:37:37 pm »
As most of you know I lost Tisha this past father's day after 11 years. A few people on here have bought sculpts from me. I wanted to do one of Tisha for a long time now, but I was afraid it wouldn't look right. Finally I decided to try. She loved to lay on her back and chew her fav. squeaky toy. So I went with that 'pose'
