Any one else's pups afraid of the rain?  IF it  is  just  spitting a little  we have a hard time  getting  zeus outside.  LAst night it  started spitting and the poor guy  freaked right out howling at the door to let him in. For potting in the rain I end up having to run out with him and stand tin the rain  just to get him to go pee.  He woudl  seriously hold it in if we didnt take him  out.
He is also afraid of the wind!!!
Any one else's pups afraid of Rain and wind?

OK So  my in laws  none of them are animal  lovers dog lover  not ta  according to them   its an animal and is meant be out  outdoors not seen  not heard etc..  What  drives me up the wall.  Well We have told them to remember  are dogs name because  with  Zeus he will bark and growl at  ppl that  come to the yard until they  say his  name if the stranger does see him and speak to him HE  will calm  down. HE is only a pup yet and already  showing  he is protecting are home he does the same in the house. Well my in laws are always come in over unannounced  since they have  things in  are shop in the yard and in the barn. They will even  walk  right in to the house with out knocking. 

Well I  have  tried to reason with them to get them to  call me before  coming  over so  If  Zeus is out I  can  make sure he;s in  before they  arrive etc..  Well  I was sitting outside and of course  Sheldon Lil  bro  who is kinda  scared of  Zeus since  he will be a big  boy and is really growing  went straight to the shop  of course zeus started to bark and growl. "  some one he didn't know well  he knows but  could tell who  he was, was stealing stuff"   SO I tried to talk to sheldon sence  I know there will be days that  We won;t  be home  for a couple  hours or  so and  zeus is outside. I don't want to be at fault  for  my stupid  in laws  Either walking in to my yard etc and Zeus well  scaring the pants off of them.  I  have no clue what to do any more i have tried to get them to come socialize with him  and I have took  him over there but  Since they are not dog ppl  they  are  just ignorant about  me bringing him even though he doesn't come into there house. They think I baby  him to much and don't  see why im spending so much  money on him  etc..  They drive me nuts 

So seriously how do you tell these ppl  to be cautious or just  call me  before they  decided to  trample in to are yard or house? Or will they  eventually figure it out?
I have told Them  that  Zeus's breed is  Protective of his family  and  they  just made a comment about t hat  they are family. I  Tried to  be serious  with them telling them about  pack instinct  etc.  But Not ta thing... GOSH what do I do.

Well I walk to a dugout everynight  and  No matter what  zeus will not go in  he will drink out of it  but no  go in to it.  So  today sence my sister is here and it is soooooo  soooo hooooot  we thought we woudl take the kids and the pup  swimming.  well my kids  freaked out  of course even in life jackets etc.  so  My sister  swam  for awile and calle d zeus to come in he wouldn't.  I desided maybe  he would  come  with me or come see me when im in the water. NOPE  He  sat there and  jumped at the edge of the water.

Any one elses dogs afraid of going swimming?  Or is he  just to  young  and  once he is older will he go in? 

We have tried  Bribbing him by throwing  sticks that  are close to the shor line but no way.

Today My Mil  showed up  here in  tears. Sheldon little brother  ran over his own  dog, she died on impact. Sparky  the gal  was a golden Retriver  mix and was Sheldon's Little brother Dustins dog.  HE got her 3 years ago and him and sparky would go every where together. Today  well checking the buffalo like they  do every morrrning, a buffalo  charge dthe vehicle Dustin turned  quick and hit his poor gal. I feel  completly  awfullI guess it took my MOther in law an hour to get out what happened out of Dustin sence he was so worked up about it and really sad.  Sparky was a  awsome  dog. She was great  with every thing and every one. IT  was  Zeus's playmate aswell. I feel awfull  for them.

OK  So  after  picking  Zeus  up Iwent to go pick up my kiddos  from my grandparents house well when I was leaving  I  BAcked up  in to another truck . YEP  I did  I  HIT a parked  vehicle  I feel like  such a retard. NO one was hurt  thank  god  but the damage is pretty  bad,  THe  driver side of the truck i hit is pushed in  by the cab and  my  who le  back bumper is  pushed in  with a dint on the side of my truck. Argg  Yesterday was a bad day. The  guy is going to  get an estimate on the cost to fix it on monday and  then we will see if we are going to  pay  out of are  own  pocket or go through insurance. I have to go in this week and  right  a police report up. OH  I feel  so stupid I cant belive I did this I had my  Kids  Zeus all in thetruck and we were  about to leave and go home.  Thank  fully  evrything went ok and  I never  got  screamed at and never hurt any one.

Well last night I took  zeus  for are normal walk  down the drive way  the way down  is on leash teh way  abck is off leash. * no vehices etc so nothing to worry  about*  Well   We were  almost a t the house comeing  back  when i Noticed a fox  rin  across the the road  from  are drive way. WEll tahnkfully Zeus  didnt  spot it I  quickly picked him up and made a sound at the fox to get it to run  before  zeus  woudl even see it.  Argg.  This is the second time now I have seen this fox. NO one has even  seen foxes in this  Area. Well of course the first thing i do  when i getto t he house is start  calling the cat  sence he sometimes  faollows us I really  was freaking out  but  Boss are black  tabby was sleeping away in the dog house

Well  When I first  joined I brought up  My worry about  Zeus  being a rotti, and  my  worry  with my kids and him. All the answer every one  gave me,  gave a little peace at mind.  I havent had many worries about it till today.

So from the beginning, Zeus has been  great so far  with alll childeren. BUt any way  I  called my grandparent this morrning to see if they  could  possibly  take  my kiddos for the day  sence i have to  be in town early to take  zeus to the vet. Well I never even got to ask when my grandfather( who all ready is bullheaded and thinks we shoudl get rid of are dog sence he is rotti) cuts me  right off and  tells me I need to take my  dog  back  I said  well why would you say that.*he has only meet  zeus a couple times*  Well  then  he started going off about  this rotti  attack taht  happened and  a little  girl 17mths old  was killed my  daughter is 15mths

Well of course after  he was going off on  me that  my  dog is going to kill my  kids are hurt some one else's. ME trying to  calm  him down  saying  that   zeus will be raised with the kids  etc.. Well then he has to jump in and  say something like well what  if he bites another child. Of like. He is a guarding breed and protective of his pack. HE will  need to  be watched and liek someone told me  here  he cant  be the refferie for  when  the kids  play  with other  childeren.  I  don't leave  Zeus with the childeren alone and  dont  plan on it even when he is older. 

In away Im so  tierd of getting  ppl  being  so bullheaded about rotti's. Yes this is my first  rotti I had a Husky  before this and she was  great  with  ethan. I have known  many  rotti's all great  dogs.  I  dunno  Why i get  so worried about this after  my grandpa  telling me everything and I finding the story I  Just  now have a giant stomach ache and  am  just  full of  worries and wonders. Im not by no means getting ride of my baby just  becasue every one thinks  it is bad to have around  childern. I know what  they are capable of  the same as any othe r dog. I  no longer h ave the tip of my nose due to a Dalmation.  (it  bit the tip of my nose off) you  dont see  stories about ppl  getting mulled  by  other breeds why  do ppl  have to  BOld out the rotti's.
