Well yesterday  we all went  boating  in the river  by  my BIL and  had  lunch there etc.. Well they  got a lil  pupp around the same age as Zeus and of course we brought are baby  to show him off and thought that  there puppy would  probley  get along great  with  Zeus. * zeus has got allong with every dog he has meet*  There puppy is a choco lab  mix im not sure what it is mixxed with.. Well  first thing i notice when i Walk  up to the yard with  zeus on his leash is that  this  Poor puppy is extremly  over weight. at  3mths old  you  can  not  see its ribs or even  feel them. It is also  not socialized at all and has no training at all. *  the pup  wouldnt  even sit.

Well  Zeus went to sniff  the chubby  pup  out.  *pup is a female*  they  did ok  but then  there pup  got all agressive.  IT started  growling and  snapping at  Zeus.  I had zeus in my lap  the whole time practically.  MY BIL and SIL  wouldnt  do anything about  it they thought is was  funny  but as soon as there dog  would  yelp  sence Zeus would try to defend  him self when i let him down they  would  give me this  ignorant  look. LIke its all my  dogs fault.  My  poor pup  couldn'y even  lay  down that  dog  would  run up(woddle) and  try  fighting him. Sheldon ended up  taking  zeus with him  when him and the men took  the boat to  put in. Sheldon  said  Zeus  seemed so happy to get away  from  the dog(I dont blame Zeus)

Well then My sisiter in law is asking me about puppy shots and  I  simply told her s he should  go get her pups shot and also  get  her in to get  cheacked out and that  she is over weight.  This is howmy Sister  in law  responds.
"  I  figured she was a little  chubby  but I dont see how  When  we were gone for four days Meeko(there dog)  was locked in her  pen (I have seen  bigger boxes than this pen)  and  hadn't had  food(nice nice  very nice)  I  shall  say  I  really held it all in. This poor  puppy who is  just  about  3mths old,  They  got it  when it was only  6weeks, IS locked in this  little  pen all the time and  they left  her at home and  didnt care  she went  with no food  for four days  Well of course  now the poor lil  girl is going to pig  right  out  when she gets some food. Also to top it all of there son who is 2yrs old is completly  ignorant to this poor pup  hhits the lil guy  for no reason and  pinches it. When i looked at my SIL  when  There son was doing this to there dogshe just  laughed and sayed that the dog deserved it that  the pup allways bites him.

Argggggg..
THis pup  needs obidence  training and a better owner i feel terrible.
At such a  young age has food aggresion and aggresion towards other  dogs.

Well awile  back  we bought  Zeus a  xl kennel for in the house  when we are camping  traveling etc.  Wellsence  we are trying to do the switch over  from  him being outdoors we are having a big  problem.  He iwll go in the  kennel  and  lay there but as soon as  I  shut the door  he  starts  crying!!  I  feel  awfull  I  feel like he thinks  back to when we got him  at the shelter where he was  looked up  with h is  siblings in a big kennel.  What  can i do?  I have  gave  him treats  let him slowly go in  sniff it  lay in it with  the odor open with me sitting  right there. I ahve a big blankey in there now  but im  goimng to  buy or build a big  bed  to put init.  We really  cant  let  him roam around  free all night.  BUt He goes  crazy when  I shut that door.

 Should I Just let  him  cry it out???

Well sheldon ended up  having to go cheack a job  he was working on and  when he came home i noticed he went to the shop  so  me and  zeus went over to see what was up .. yadda yadda yadda.  Well  I  was helping sheldon with  his gas tank in the back of the truck when i noticed  zeus  got s omething from under the truck and was eating it  so I went over to see thinking it was  poo or mud or something  NO  It was a bird I didnt  even have time to  grab it away  from  him he  gulped err down. I have afeeling we may  have a pup with an upset  tummy tonight.

Sheldon said on his way  down the road he thought  he  hit a bird but  didnt  seeit  fly  out  from the back  well the poor innocent thing Was stuck on the wheel  sorry its gross but  Zeus  must  have gottit  from there sence after he went and licked the wheel  Aaaaaaaaaaa  I  feel like  vomiting. *I think pup will be later*   What  was totaly  wrong is he sat there with this im  a good doggie look on his face well he licked his lips argggggg.. I feel so sorry  for the poor little bird I guess it  probley  had no pain sence the truck killed it first.

well  I have to say  thank you to  Dan, ( ThatDuckyBoy ) for  posting  the link  about outdoor dogs here http://www.bigpawsonly.com/index.php?topic=18284.msg224485#new I priinte dof fthe info  Highlighted a bunch of stuff on it and  gave it to hubby to read.  Well guess what  Im  now allowe dto have  zeus in  for a bit  durring the day and night time if  Zeus wants to come in.. USually when  Bed time  rools  around he is in his  dog  house  with  Boss (the cat)  Sleeping and won't  even  come out to see us  just  give us them puppy  eyes liek IM beat  leave me alone.  So any who I just  had him in house  for  1 hour tonight to  watch  some TV lol  well Sheldon had to go  do a ocuple of  Jobs.  BUt  BOy I wish he was home to see the happy pup  come sit  down and watch the Big TV  that he has  never  seen  before lol. 

* WARNING  DO NOT  PUT ANIMAL  PLANET WHEN THE EPISODE IS BIG CATS WHEN PUP has never seen TV* LOL he was going to bark  but as soon as I said shhhhhhhh  no bark he  layed  done and did a grumble and  kept  watching it was hilarious. I  off course  kept him on a leash sence He isnt house trained but  he did  great.  I  watched him  Close and as soon as he was a little antsie I took him out side and he did his bussiness so I rewarded him with  a treat. I then  Let him a little bit more but he desided he need to go out to bother the cat lmao.

I will ahev to say  HE was a totaly  different  pup in doors  very  wel  behaved as soon as I  said no bite or no  he would  stop and look at  me  so I  would  hand him he  lil  horse plush my son gave to him.

Well  this morning We were sitting outside and  Zeus started again  trying to bite my  leg so I said  gruffly  like I always do "no Bite"  and calmly tell him " sit"  Well he  then   never  bit  but  sat there right in  front  of m e and started barking at me.  OK  I  don't want him to do this  Bark at me for  telling him not to bite. I  simply  told him to go "lay  down"   He  just  barked at  me till I Yelled "STOP" Then  he looked  at me and stopped.  HE has  never  done this  before and I feel i never did anything to make him  go off. I Was  sitting there petting him  and telling  him  to go get his toy.  HE ended up getting  a time out since  he tried to bite  right  after that, Not friendly bites or gumming grabbing  my  pants so I ended up  just getting up and  walking  in to the house.. He is only around 10-11 weeks old  but how do you stop that  barking he has never done it  before  I'm  going to train him the  "talk" Command. Maybe I'm just getting  worried  for nothing. BUt  seriously  I  jumped out of my  chair when  he barked at me. He just started getting his  bark  in the past  6 days  so I have seen and heard him  bark at the cat and  ethans remote control  truck  but  he has never once barked at one of us. 

ok  this just seems wierd to me.
Zeus is now around 11-12 weeks ol' and  well are cat is  1 year. Well at first  the cat  hated  Zeus.  Zeus  woudl go near and the cat owuld get mad sence  zeus woudl jusp on him and the cat woudl stick up for himself. Well  recently they  have been getting along great. THey  sleep 2gether  eat  2gether  everything  that is untill we are in  view.  When we are in  view its like  zeus has to go show off and beat  up his friend. HE will seriously  jump on the cats  back and grab him by the head and the cat now  sits/lays there and takes it.  We have  gave him trouble for this and time outs  sence the cat  howels in  pain and cryies.  NOw why isnt the cat  fighting back no more? I know Zeus is alot  bigger than  he was in the begging but  he*l I dont wanthim to think he can  sit ther and attack  the cat im  scared that one day  he will actually  kill it by  play  with it to death.
