I wanna go on a bpo camp trip (sniff sniff...pout pout)!!! And get busted!  :o)

Great advice so far.  I was laughing at the swaying in front of the tent because that would so be odin.  He will sleep ANYWHERE if worn out.  He isn't  hyper.  He is a big chicken (always has been) so my main concern is waking up with 200lbs of paw in my face!  LOL.  I never thought about the tether....that's a fantastic idea!  I will say Odin loves visitors so the 'can I pet your dog' routine is the norm and 9 x out of 10, the visitor leaves MARKED by a giant ball of smegma filled with love!  A gift for the newcomers....a s they walk off dry heaving!  You guys rock!

Guess we have some fantastic camping trips coming up soon then.  Kids and all!

Rat.....Cody loves to hear herself because she has such a pretty speaking voice and everyone else needs to hear it too!  ;)

Cute!  Any tips on taking a first timer furry?  We tent camp and want to take odin but not sure how he will handle it (ie....sleep).  Tips?  We are not buying a camper so that's not an option. ;)

what an awesome story with a happy/sad ending.  How incredibly awesome are you to do the right things!  I mean, I feel sadness for your loss but yor are so darned kewl for seeing the situation as is and not doing the ....."well, legally" thing.  I am sure it was tough.  I've been through a similar situation but it wasn't with an animal.  I don't believe in coincidence... ..there is a reason they were behind you at that time.  You SAVED that baby from sudden death and you were the intermediary until the family could find their baby.

Your selfless act made my day~thank you!  :)

Oh, I'm so sorry!  I hope your mom will be ok and I hope she files charges against the negligent owners. That's sad!

odin came from a breeder in helotes, tx.  he was a product of an accidental litter where a 2 yo male jumped a 7 ft fence to get to their bitch when she was heat.  It was an accidental litter but the pups were still 'spensive!  Luckily, we got a $400 discount on him.  She wanted us to take the other pup too but we couldn't.  :(  They only bred when they had potential owners so this accidental litter threw a glitch in their life because mastiff people are tough to find.  Anyway, guess that was  long way around the pond! hehe

Oh, yea-LONG time is an understatement, newf!  8 years for me and we JUST started making headway in our battle with his psycho ex.  LOL.  My stepdaughter is 11 so  we have 7 years of of dealing with psycho.  We pay her $1000/mo for one child in child support.....Sh e makes  $60k/year, until her husband killed himself, he brought in about $90K/yr....plus retirement benefits.  When he died, my stepdaughter gets another $1K/mo and the ex gets a military retirement check plus healthcare plus a life insurance payment......a nd she has a maide, 3 plasma tv's, 3 high dollar vehicles!

My point-ONLY 7 years to go with those support payments and then we can totally look at ex and just say......NOW you have no say so!

But....you aren't  gonna pay for college?  h*ll no, we gave you $12k a year for support for 15 years (and the child never stayed in daycare).....hoped you saved some of it or else she will have to go through college like the rest of us!  ;)

7 short years!

thank you swissy!  We laugh a lot because my stepdaughter is redheaded (you know, treat her like red headed step child) but she is such an angel...and my boys, well, there wings are bent but I still love them.  Those kids are our future and i'll be damned before I fail to raise my children in an an environment lacking self-esteem, respect and discipline.  I quit work so I could be with my children....an d I love being mom.  my step daughter is my REAL daughter and I don't see any step about it!  ;)
