Great Pyrenees Discussions / Re: Can you stand yet another question?
« on: August 20, 2008, 07:13:59 pm »
I could use it too.  have one pyr who couldnt care less if she is crated and one who goes nuts when crated.  but when she was crated at the vets she was fine.  go figure!!
I feed them in the crates and one runs in and waits. the other will only put the front paws in to eat.  refuses to go in all the way no matter what.
and they are sisters we have raised since they were 6 wks old. loved the crate when young.

FAQs about puppies / Re: Has anyone done it (2 puppies)?
« on: July 29, 2008, 06:46:35 am »
I have 2 pyr pups.  they are sisters and I have had them since they were 6 wks old.
sometimes it is easier cause they have each other but they are double trouble also.  If one gets into something the other will help them.  and I have to feed them separately but yup I would do it again.
they are now 8 mths old and still bad at times but I enjoy them.
and I also have 2 other dogs - a 4 yr old newf and an 11 yr old sheltie.  and 3 cats!
yup I am crazy and lovin it!!

sorry about your door.  I came home to my couch and chair stuffing all over the living room with my little monsters.
now there is a gate up.
but I luv them anyway!!

remember the joke...
what do you call a pyr off leash?
a disa-pyr!

I find the mars coat king is much better for the bigger dogs like pyrs and newfs.

one of my pyrs would stay outside all the time if allowed. the other likes to come inside to see what is going on now and then.  my newf likes to be inside with people and my sheltie likes outside if warm only.  all different from each other.

wow! I've never had a dog that was scared of storms. but we live near an army base and they hear guns and see flashes all the time from the guys training so I guess they just get used to that and the storms never bother them.

had a sheltie pup once who was always scratching and miserable.  vet gave him a shot for flea allergy and never had a problem after that.  guess he grew out of it.  he was only 3 mths old at the time
