one pup was on amoxicillin for a week but it didnt do a thing. so I tried the 3 drops of real cranberry juice
(bought cranberries and squeezed them) per day and both pups seem great now. maybe the juice, maybe just cleared up on its own?  I vote for the juice.

FAQs about puppies / Re: 2 Great Pyrenees Puppies/ 5 weeks
« on: January 23, 2008, 11:16:21 am »
I got my 2 pyr pups at 6 wks and they too were born and lived outside in a barn.  they were healthy and both a good size.  the plus side is the farmer thought he shouldnt pet his dogs because they were working dogs and my hubby talked to him so now he pets the dogs and talks to them and he says he feels better about them now.  says he misses the pups so he isnt all bad. the breeding was an accident. he had to go for surgery and the dogs had fun while he was gone.
anyway, my pups are growing and doing great. smart little things too.

believe me they get lots of attention!! totally different personalites but both evil little things when they want to be.
my newf wants to play with them but one runs and the other jumps all over her and then runs. the way they are growing it wont be long till they can play safe with her.

Medical Conditions & Diseases / Re: trying to pee but not happening

Brandy is on amoxicillin and seems better. today I started giving them both 2 drops of cranberry juice to see if it helps.  if not will try and retest next week.  not doing it for treats though cause they are outside alone and I see them from the window. just strange that they would both be doing it. they drink a lot of water and do pee normally and stools are good.

should I use large breed puppy food or just large breed adult food?  vet says puppy but others say no puppy food.
