Are you sure your baby isnt a full English Bulldog? My hubbys cousin raises English Bulldogs,he has 6..yours looks just like his male,same color,build and teeth!I wish I had a pic to show you,yours is identical to his.His are very well mannered,3 of them stay inside the house and they are the sweetest ever!

I really dont know. They did say she was , but they were shadey and i took her cause she had been in a cellar for a long time :-[.(prob the whole first 6 months of her life}
She might be pure,but she is a bit taller than most i see and with longer legs. I will check out that website 2night after work.Thanks! Also im happy people posted some positive bully stuff. They do get a bad rap. Even I think they are a bit scrappy with other dogs, but with a firm and fun owner it can be worked on. I have some leash issues with her and other dogs I cant seem to fix and will be posting with questions looking for help later on. For right now here is my bully with her pal Titus.They are great friends, :D See it can be done.Brooklily's mum

I love the bully breeds.Im not sure exactly what my baby is but prob some kind of English bulldog mix.She is outrageously loving and playful.Sweet Sweet Sweet. There is no gas problem. I think that is a food issue. (just dont let your bully buy crappy cheap food. lol) They are wonderful dogs. I found the bullies i meet can be a little scrappy with other dogs(training helps that) and they do snore, but who the h*ll is perfect?  Brooklily's mum

hahahahaha I just learned how to resize pics, and didnt want to lose them in my documents, so i renamed them. I didnt know the names i put up for my own picture recognition would show up under the picture. As i made the pics smaller i kept calling them "even smaller brooklily" and stuff. oh well. im kinda ridiculous.

hi everyone, Thanks for the warm welcome to Big Paws. I dont really want to admit it , but i am new to the internet for enjoyment.Unti ll about 2 weeks ago I had only really used it for work .  I tried to load my pics of the "beautiful, fun, but not always so well behaved Brooklily", they were too big for the site. From what I have figured out I have to resize them. We will see how that goes . I hope to have them up 2morrow. I could look at the pics of everyone elses dogs for hours. I love to see strong, healthy, well loved dogs, that are an important part of peoples families :).(makes me feel less dog crazy) Hopefully Brooklily pics will be up soon. Thanks for the welcome, Brooklily's mum

Hi everyone. Im new to Big Paws. I was just jumping around the web and found this site. GREAT! Im the loving mum of a 2 1/2 yr old beautiful bulldog that i adopted 2 years ago.  They told me she was an English Bulldog. I kind of doubt it. She now weighs about 75pds and is all muscle. She is very active and the love of my life. Im  happy to find a group of dog lovers and will be keeping in touch. i will post some photos later.   Brooklily's Mum

hi, I hope my reply doesnt come to late. I adopted the most active bulldog i have ever met.She is 2 1/2 and arrived with some real attention issues.Here is what works for her

1.a long walk EVERY day. I know you said this is impossible for you right now, so,maybe a family member, friend, kid next door,or someone you know on a diet who needs a walking partner. I know it sounds funny but its always more fun to walk with someone.

2. Training. mine gets actually exhusted from the mental stimulation after half an hour. it neednt be a workout  for you. ( sit , stay , come , down, drop it)

3.Playtime with other dogs, several times a week.( you can bring a chair) Hyper dogs also though, so they will enjoy eachother. There are so many people out there just waiting to make thier dog tired too :}. Seek them out when they are walking thier dog.We take turns going to each others fenced in yards. If that is not available to you find a gated tennis court or basketball court.

4.Rawhide bones. They are something to do and great fun for the strong jawed bully.  Just keep an eye cause they rip them apart easily and you have to throw away smaller pieces.

5.Take training to a new level, by teaching your bully funny tricks, Again, not physically demanding for you, but tiring for the stubborn bulldog. Mine jumps through a hoop and seeing a bulldog do it is hysterical.

    I highly suggest profesional training since there will be a baby soon.  good luck and dont give up   sincerly Brooklily's mum
