General Board for Big Dogs with Big Paws / Zeus got his ramp!
« on: August 19, 2008, 05:41:16 pm »
Our little legged Zeus, a corgi/pit/chow cross has been wanting a ramp to get into the back of his truck.  The Fedex guy showed up and he is in high cotton.  Loves to walk up and down his ramp.

Again, it makes my heart ache to read about more pups having to go through this. :'(  If you look at the 3rd post from julieWG above, you can see the company's standard respone.  Reading it again today nearly a month after the fact, it still makes me feel like she is twisting it to sound like I did something wrong!  ???  Please share you experience with those outside BPO.  Word of mouth can still save a pup from suffering!   ;)

We have found our little ones calling.  She is a retriever!!
She has been searching for a "job" and our Golden Loki decided to teach her.  He takes her toys into another part of the house, then sits and barks until she brings them to him.  Unreal!!  Need to get this on video for sure!

My father feeds it to his English Bulldog.  He feeds the Four-Star Nutritionals.
They state that the "Four-Star is formulated for all life stages and is suitable for puppies, adults, and senior dogs."  He swears by it.  There is a lot of info on the web, but ultimately the decision is yours to make.  I can't afford it with 8 dogs, 3 cats and a donkey to feed!

I am so sorry to read that others have gone through this since we first posted the warning.  All but one of our pups recovered within a day, but poor zeus was suffering for nearly 3 days.  Our Vet gave him something to reduce the irritation.  I don't want to bash Sergeants, it's just really an unfortunate risk of a reaction that we will never ever take again. Frontline from our Vet is what we'll use in the future.

Roxy is adorable, and Loki is absolutely GORGEOUS!

I love the collar. Lol I haven't seen those before, but it seems to be a good alternative to the E collar.

How old is she now? Of course she's right back into trouble and having a blast. Gotta love puppies. :D
She is almost 6 months old.  Weighed 26.4 lbs at the vets office the other day.

Is that supposed to be like an e-collar? It looks way more practical than the huge lampshade style.
It's an inflatable collar that we found at a pet store.  It is much more practical than the elizabethian style collars, but a bit more expensive, $35.00 for the small up to $75.00 for the big ones.

Just a couple pics of Roxy with her post surgery collar.  She was spayed on Thursday.  All is well, except she thinks the collar is a crash helmet!!
