I did not see any skull for the chupacabra(sp?).  It is the mexican monster lurking around to kill small animals by sucking their insides out.   Not sure if it is a dog or not or even exists.  now THATS creepy.

Believe me, I have dealt with this before and I have had to resort to extreme measures just to make sure everybody is safe.  Some of my dog-rolling methods I have used maybe twice in my lifetime of dogs but it has been effective - I do not allow that type of behavior EVER and they know it.  If I was sure the dog whisperers method would work, I would love to know more as I do respect their methods.  I can just tell you that when faced with this problem you must make some rapid, quick judgements and enforce them immediately because if you wait too long, it will never be effective.  I am ususally against electric collars in all training problems except this particular one.  If it is not dealt with swiftly and harshly then it will continue and someone will get hurt.  Sorry I sound so harsh in my old fashioned methods.

Wow, I sound so negative and I do not mean to.  Please forgive me. There are so many people that are above all of this that need a pat on the back.  ;D  thanks everybody.

I am currently adopting a part rot.  I love the breed but more and more of them are put down because of the public's misinterpratio n of the breed.  I do not know what really happened in So. Cal with the child that was killed by a Rot but the publicity surely hurt many rots currently seeking forever homes.  The rot I have adopted is one of so many that people will not adopt purely because of the black color.  Movies will never show them in starring roles simply of their color. They will only be shown as villians with rubber bands put on their snouts so their teeth will show.   Oh well, that is the public perception and the studios are in it for the money only.  That will not change.  She seems like a great sweetheart and I wish you well.

He is a rescue, 1 day from being gone.  My daughter-in-law thinks the name sounds like a car.  Maybe she is thinking of Honda.  What can I say, she named her bunny - Honey Bunny.  :-\ They think he is about 2 but I think a little younger.  He is very smart. Still working on it.

Here he is when I visited him.  What do you think of the name Hondo from the John Wayne movie?  He is a love.

Everytime I hear about dog emotions, I truly believe we underestimate what they are capable of.  I will never forget the night my husband and I were driving down the road and saw a dead big dog that was hit by a car.  Right alongside of it was another big dog sitting and not moving.  On closer examination I saw that dog with big tears running down her face and she refused to leave that dog's side.  There was nothing I could do but from then on I changed my mind about what these animals really feel.   :'(

I was told by the foster Dad that he had never been reimbursed for neuters he had done for dogs from this rescue group.  He is such a sweet and generous person that it did not matter to him. He goes directly to the pound to pick the dogs up.   Since I have an appointment to have this dog neutered on Oct. 18th after we come back from a trip, I might offer to pay her and deduct the neuter fee.  The foster dad can take the dog in and I can send proof of neuter and make the balance payment.  Does that sound fair?  The rescue group will still have $100 even though they do not seem to take in any animals, just work on the computer.  I do not know how they keep their non-profit status if they do not take any animals into their organization.  But, oh well, I care more about the dog (no name yet).  Cant wait to bring him in.
