I have to share this photo and hope it loads ok.  There is a story with it.  A fireman was in a burning building and spotted a Great Dane who was pregnant.  He was a little afraid of her, but picked her up and took her to a grassy area outside.  He then returned to fighting the fire.  Later he came out exhausted and kneeled on the grass.  There was a reporter across the street and he watched as the big dog kept staring at the fireman.  Then suddenly she ran to him and gave him a big kiss as if to say "thank you for saving me and my babies".  Just then the reporter got this shot and it says a thousand words.  It made me cry. :o

;D     OK gotcha.  I used to live in an adobe house many years ago on McClay Rd in Novato.  Now my daughter is dating a Novato fire chief and it is serious.  Small world.   I live near Fresno now but grew up in Marin County (Fairfax).  I remember the first time I took Niki to Tahoe for the snow and she went crazy with joy and slid down on the hills with all the kids.  Bear must have gone nuts and buried his whole face.  Thanks for sharing.

Happy Birthday Drake, my favorite snow-in-the-face big boy.  Hmm - it snows where you live but warm enough to be in a pool in May.  What part of the country do you live in? ???

Well, I am not sure about people hair dye, however, I did hear that dogs with grey muzzle's from age that are in movies have it dyed.  Someone told me what they used because you can't use a sharpie as it is toxic.  I do not remember what it is and if anybody knows, I would like to find out.  People do not lick their hair after they dye it like a dog would but I assume it is non-toxic.

Hey Fresno, Niki and I live in the country between Clovis and Sanger.  We are neighbors!!!!!  I have a chance now to get her into an ad for Gottschalks for Father's Day.  She would hand a tool to a hard working Dad.  Cross your fingers for us.

As for the Calif. get together, since we are in the middle of the State it would be good, however, as you know Fresno is much too hot in August.  Maybe we could do it here at another time of the year.

Hi, I am new and have posted before but it seems to get lost. I know I am doing something wrong.

This is Niki.  She  has been on Good Morning America, Reall TV, all news networks and more for working in our video store delivering movies to customers.  She even knows how to make change and is a big hit when the customer gets an extra twenty.  Love your photos, especially the one with snow on the face - that is an award winning shot.

Love a big working dog with a purpose in mind.
