Anyone familiar with the Pyrenean Mastiff?

The more I research these gorgeous dogs the more I like them...I am thinking I want one in my future but it looks like they are hard to come by...Is anyone familiar with the breed?...Check this out!

I think their wonderful dogs too! I looked into them before I got Kiah. As far as I can tell their temperment is more extreme then the pyr. They are more leary of strangers. I didn't have any luck finding breeders either.

HEY! I've seen dogs like this before!

Growing up, there were some Basque families herding sheep in the area, and my friend Jamie's family had dogs that just LIKE this. I always thought Gorka and Inaki were pyr MIXES! :o

From what I've researched the Pyrenean Mastiffs are more obedience based than a Pyr & I keep getting the impression their temperment is more mellow...Maybe I need to research further but they are awesome!

Hmmm....That is interesting! Let me know what you find out I could have got it mixed up.
