Hello there,
 I rescued my dog Sashi, part malamute part husky, 2 years ago at the age of 3 months. Throughout these two years he has grown very healthy but I am uncertain about one thing. His fur is very smooth and it is not fluffy like a husky or malamute. Taking into consideration that I live in the south, does anyone have an idea as to why his fur is different?

Welcome. Sashi is very very handsome. I am Michelle and my crew consists of Puck the rotti, Farley the Vizsla and Rosie the weimaraner.
