who did that to axle's coat?!

earlier i brought axle inside from his potty break, during which i NEVER heard them bark to tell me someone was around.  he didn't bark last night when he went potty either, so i don't know who did this, but it must have been someone who knows our dogs.  i know the kids didn't do it, so it had to have been an adult.  either way, whoever it was, axle's hair has a HUGE chunk that was cut with scissors (you can tell it wasn't plucked, because you can see where the pieces were cut in separate sections).  i'm trying to call hubby and see if he knows what happened or if he heard the dogs barking, or what.  i'd like to know what happened, esp if it was something like axle got gum in his hair and hubby cut it out or something that way i won't be upset over it.

Awww poor Axle!  Hopefully one of your family members did it, that's awfully scary to think of someone coming in your yard to do something like that, very strange!

OH MY!!  Could he have gotten his fur caught on something outside?  I would think if that happened it would all come out, but if it was something sharp it could have just cut the fur.

no, it's not broken it's clean cut.  you can see scissor marks on his fur.

OMG i would be sooo p#ssed if someone did that to AJ.  Somebody should have some MAJOR explaining to do.  I hope that you get to the bottom of this and it was the Hubby.  I could not imagine someone out side of your family or a stranger doing that to him.

hmm, you think you would have noticed it before you let him outside if it was there already..? that would be a very strange thing for someone to do, don't see the point then again they are some nutty people. it looks more like something a kid would do to me.

our neighbor two doors down who we had problems with a while back (over caine in our neighbors yard, when he's the next house down ) has his kids home today.  hubby said he's gonna go ask them and our other neighbors tonight.

I guess that means hubby didn't know what happened to Axle...  poor thing - that makes me so mad that some one would cut his fur like that. The neighbor kids being home today does sound rather suspicious.

nope hubby doesn't know.  i wanted to ask him before i got upset b/c if axle got gum or something in his hair i would understand.  it must have been someone either with food or who the dogs knew b/c otherwise they would have caused a BIG fuss when someone walked up to the fence.

nope, still no idea who did it.  our dogs are acting a lot more cautious around the fence line out front though.  yesterday they got upset b/c someone was walking on the other side of the street    they haven't acted like that in a very very long time so we have been keeping them inside except they get about 5 minutes at a time to go potty.

How bizarre. Mine wont let anyone get that close. Why would someone do that? I am thinking that security cameras might want to be added to your gotta have list.

not quite sure what happened, but i know it happened in the yard.  our kids are 1 and 3.  they never have access to the scissors, actually we keep them in the top cabinets where i sometimes even have to get a chair to get them.  someone could easily reach axle, esp. if he stood up against the fence, since he is 2ft taller than our fence when he's on his back legs.  (luckily he can't jump b/c the HD)  not sure that they would be feeling me being more cautious, because i didn't act any different or do anything different until they started acting flippy.  they usually get 45 minutes or so to "play" outside while i clean in the afternoons, but they are just as happy without it.
