Make sure you get lots of jammies (ebay is great... also venders at dog shows have great options)- they can't handle much cold. Also, their throats are very sensitve, and it's easy to bruise them- don't use slip leads or chokes (not even show leads with chains, if you want to get a show lead to practice, make sure you get a show lead with a fabric slip, not a chain) so use a light flat collar and a light lead. Get some anti-zit stuff (I love clean and clear) and some mosturizer (The anti zit stuff dries them out) and some sun screen.... and make sure you have a good quality gentle clipper (Peanuts are FABULOUS for this breed) to keep her face clean.. if you are planning on showing her its good to keep up with her face to make sure she's used to it. Lots and lots of toys just like any puppy lmao- particularly any toys that make lots of noise!!

And TAKE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

thanks for all the advice. what type of zit stuff, the cleaning pads or the cream? or the other stuff? and what type of moisturizer. im told i will need Sunscreen too. Ahhhh all this is making me more nervous. we're goin to pick her up in toronto, so we'd be able to pick alot of goodies up down there (as i refuse to shop in our local petstore) and i think i know what type of show lead you mean. i will talk to my trainers about it, they might have one for me to borrow until i can get one via the interweb hahaha
thanks for the info :)  Great help. it will be SUPER to have crestie (And Big paw) friends  in one room hahah

I use the noxima (sp? im a horrible speller) pads for daily cleaning (just run them over their bodies every night) and clean and clear spot remover to dry out bad black head spots (like at the base of the neck in the wrinkles) if they break out (which doesnt happen TO often) As for mosturizer, any good lotion (unscented preferably) works, I like to use cocoa butter (thats just my prefference)sunscreen, just a low SPF unscented sunscreen with no tanning agents and thats just for extended periods outside (like walks without jammies on)

The clippers you can find on Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-WAHL-PEANUT-HAIR-CLIPPER-TRIMMER-FREE-SHIP_W0QQitemZ150104897012QQcategoryZ67410QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

for a lot less then at dog show vendors. I have and always will recommend peanuts, they are SO much easier to use on little faces then other brands.

As for show leads, I'm sure your trainer will know, or your breeder will have them (since she shows) it looks just like a regular show lead, but instead of just the rope collar or the chain collar, it is a half inch wide loop of flat cotton or other fabric. (I have seen silk... LOL)

Dont be nervous!!! its not as bad as you think ;) and if you need any help im sure your breeder will be right there to answer questions, and lacking that, email me! ;)

Oh, what a cutie she is!  I soooooo love cresteds.
I am sort of on a list for a friend's of mine future breeding.  She owns a gorgeous hairless male and a beautiful powderpuff female.  I said if she still plans on breeding them 4-6 yrs from now, sign me up.........but as far as the first breeding (next year if all health checks pan out) I can't handle 5 dogs.......... .lol.

My friend does weekly full body masks on her hairless.  Keeps him moisturized nicely.  Good luck with showing her.
