Any guinea pig people?

I have a 5-6 year old guinea pig named Squishy. Lately I've noticed he's taken to peeing on himself while he's sleeping. His belly and the area inside his pigloo is usually covered with urine when I pick him up. I'm wondering if something is wrong with him and I should take him to the vet?

Actually I talked to this guinea pig forum who told me that it's his old age. Which was what I was thinking in the first place. I'm going to have my mom make an appointment though and have him checked out anyways.

his name is squishy? he lives in a pigloo??? THAT IS SO CUTE!! i am laughing so hard right now. squishy has got to be the best name ever for a guinea pig! hope you can get things fixed for him. can you post a pic of squishy in his pigloo?

Squishy is adorable, I love guinea pigs.  What is their average life expectancy?  I had a hamster when I was a kid and she lived 2 yrs and I was heartbroken when she passed away.  Sounds like guinea pigs live a lot longer, maybe the kids can talk me into a guinea pig after all.

Umm guinea pig life spans are usually around 4-5 years but if you take really good care of them they can live up to 10. I believe the longest living guinea pig was 14?
