THIS IS TOOOOO HOT FOR ME......

So you all know I am an imported Viking right.....? Used to cooler climat and feeeet of snow in the winter. Today the themometer say 104 here, that is a place that has been in the shade all day. They said on the local weather that with the heatindex it was 115.

The kids and I were out in the pool, I was about to have a heat stroke, the humidity is horrible. When we were out there, Chris came home and said, someone is here to look at the house (our rental)

Have any of you ever tried to look sofisticated with hair that is wet, not from swimming, but from sweat? face looking like someone boiled you and forgot to remove the make up first. And every single sweat gland in your body working over time. I would be surprised if they decide to rent, I think I scared them away lol.....

The dogs are confiscating the cool air from the AC, I keep pushing them away from the vents, only to see them back there 5 min later. We keep it about 70 in here, but after you have been out, even that seems too hot, to be able to cool down. I dont miss Sweden often but ohhhhh gosh..... this is toooooo hot.

I cant say I blame him lol...... Even when we were in and around the pool it seemed too hot. If it at least had been a dry heat, I dont like the humidity at all. makes my nose all stuffy and me who was proudly a "non sweater" hehe I am now no such thing. It makes me want to shower at least 5 times a day, and I still dont feel clean, sticky and nasty.

My dogs do what Jack is doing, mostly Galahad, he is a  guy who likes his life comfy to say the least. He wont walk outside if it rains, or if it is too hot. We have to make him, so he at least can go potty. Hubbys comment when we came home from the 4th of July parade where we brought Galahad, was "he isnt much of an outdoor dog, is he" He loves to be with us, but loves it even more if it involves a cool house and a comfy couch lol...

I guess that I am lucky then to have an all-weather dog. Bear is quite content sleeping in the cold air conditioned house right now but he still loves to go out and play- even in the middle of the day. He had a great playdate yesterday and came home panting and had to be hosed off but boy was he happy. I think I am the one who is more unhappy about the weather. I hate the heat and don't like the potty walks in it or in the rain but Bear could care less. He loves the great outdoors as much as he loves his comfy couch!

Oh Marit, you must be ready to die in this heat, coming from Sweden. If you are not used to it, it is awful. At least we are somewhat used to it because where I (and Jabear) live we have heat spells like this all summer and no rain.  The Central California Valley is really a desert that was turned into farmland because of irrigation water dammed up in the mountains.  When it gets over 100  Niki  goes in the air conditioned house, then out, then in etc. all day.  The sheep sleep in the barn all day and spend all night out in the pasture grazing.  The farmworkers, construction crews and roof repairers all start very early and are off after noon or close by.  I even find myself enjoying an afternoon siesta, its the best way to beat the heat. Take it easy.

Jup..... pndlake, Marit is sweating a lot lol....... we was on a vacation in Germany when I was pregnant with Mattias, I was huge. It was 105 there, but the dry heat, and that didnt bother me very much at all, I just cant stand the humidity. well that is to put it too nicely I HATE the humidity lol....
