Awww, I would have loved to have seen that, Stella!  I am always amazed and honestly, rather awestruck at how my big couch-potato, snuggle-bugs can (and do) at the blink of an eye turn into beautiful, impressive guard dogs with the hair standing up on their backs and their tails held high & proud when they decide to guard us.  I've also seen the way that they decide who they can trust and who they need to guard us from.  It's amazing how fast (and I've found, accurately) they figure all of this out.  I know that I'm biased, and I probably sound sappy, but I think that it's just awesome!   ;)  :)  :-*

Stella, sorry to thread jack, but Julie, if you go...please, please take tons of pics!  We drive by a field occasionally that has a couple of alpacas (hmmm, I think that's just "alpaca" singular :-\ oh well) and they are adorable. I just love their sweet, fuzzy faces and I know that I couldn't resist the babies!  We have 6+ acres, so we've talked about it, but I don't know if I could find a pet sitter that I'd trust to care for them when we're on vacation & all.  Besides, knowing me I'd be lobbying to put them in the garage when the weather is foul.  ;D  ::)  I'm probably too "soft" to have livestock.  ;)  ;D

Oh man, that sounds really neat!  A friend of Rob's raises alpacas and they have a guardian pyr. I think I'm going to go to their house this Spring or Summer so taht I can meet him and the baby alpacas.  I mean, what can be cuter than a baby alpaca?

Can I come too?????????????????  I want a baby alpaca..

LOL, we may be on to a solution to my pet sitter problem then!  That is if Julie, Misty or Jackie would like to come pet sit & play with our alpacas so that we could go on vacation.  :D  Seriously though, they'd still be in our garage every time the weather turned nasty (like today)  ;D  :o  ::), so I have a hunch that my patient hubby might not like that too much.  ;)  Ha, ha!

That's it!  ;D  I'm done with thread jacking for today.  Sorry!
