I personally, as my previous post stated do not like showing, but our boy loves agility, and he has his CGC and will be working for Therapy.  I had my loans forgiven for nursing to stay in Long term care for 4 years, I have 2 left to go, and Aidan is WONDERFUL with the elderly and children.  It is a site to see a large boy so gentle and what I love about doing the actual working witht he dogs, not just ahowing them off.  I realize that showing them in the Confirmation ring is very important to some people but to me, the one on one actual dog / owner workings are much more enjoyable and satisfying to us.

I totally agree that just because there are Champions in the lines does not warrant a good breeding Bitch or Dog, thisi s why clearances should be done, tempermants are looked at etc...I was trying to say that a responsible breeder looks at the lines, the health , and the quality of a dog before breeding.  Just because you show a dog to CH. does not make it a worthy breeder.  The titles do help when "advertising" however I feel that responsibility lies with actual documentation of clearances on both sire and dam.  My pair do have lines full of Champions, but that actualy means nothing is their structure is not sound, tempermant is not sound etc....
