I think Sadie is starting to settle in
« on: November 25, 2008, 02:03:52 am »
Well it's been a little over a week since Sadie joined the family and I think she's starting to feel comfortable with the other pups...especia lly Fargo. This is a typical evening pose.

During the day all the dogs spread out for afternoon naps but once the sun starts going down, Sadie usually looks for Fargo to be close to...or one of us if Fargo isn't around.

Awww, you don't need a bigger yard. They just looooove to lie around. "What? you want me to get up and come way over there?"
You don't have to be rich either. My bubs only eat about 4cup food a day. :)

We'll just kind of gloss over the vet bills.  ::)

OMG, you lunatic. I thought I had too much puppy at my place. I'm in awe that you (and your house) are surviving three BP pups, LOL!

Well, so far they've been pretty good...for puppies. A couple of rug corners are a bit frayed, one breakfast nook chair and some shoes got a little chomped but we expected worse (knock on wood).
Now the backyard and the flower gardens are a whole different story!

Those are Ursa's feet - LOL!

We're keeping our sanity but doing as much obedience work as possible in the hopes that everyone will be halfway trained BEFORE they're big enough to get into serious trouble!  Tonight was the first night that all of the puppies laid down and stayed down while we ate dinner - YAY!

Well, Tonda - the dogs don't think of me as "The Warden" for nothing!!!    ;)

Seriously - we work on training almost every night and have since the first night each one came home.  I train them all separately both on obedience and on leash manners.  It's a pain in the you know what right now but it will be worth it in the long run (i hope).

you can say that again.  stick to your guns.  you will have the best and most well behaved pups down the road and your work will be so worth it.

You rule! I get home from work and I'm frequently too lazy for more than a snog and a run to the park. [/quote]

In the interest of full disclosure, you should see my house!  The dogs may be getting their training but I only have time to slap a frozen dinner in the microwave and clean up the worst of the mess!!
