For Megan...

Ok, here's a test. I'm using my new lap-top, and I'm still getting the hang of adjusting pics with the software on it...

Here's the horsebarn that I now live in. The left-hand side is my apartment. (THe length of the barn) If this works, there will be more, Megan, don't worry!

Very cute Nicole! I like the barn idea. Is there horses there? Does Cabeza like them?

Yep! There are 7 horses. They're kinda like my roommates! hahahha! Really. The back exit to my apartment goes directly into the barn.

Cabeza is trying to get the horses to show him some respect! hahaha! He wants you all to know that he doesn't bark at them cuz he's afraid, just because they are not listening to him! hahahahhaa! Yeah, he's afraid of them. But, we're working on that.

For right now, he's best friends with Reggie, the farm dog. I'll have to get some pictures of the two of them, and my cat. They're like three black peas in a pod! They all lay around in a lump. Its cute.

There will be more pics tonight....

Wow, what an awesome apartment!  ;D  That is kind of like a dream place!

Many moons ago, I worked for a vet/dog & horse boarding/grooming place and my apartment was attatched to it via a door in my apartment.  It was great walking out my back door and seeing the horses, or through the clinic to check on the pets.  I'd even get permission from the boarders owners to bring them to my apartment for some one on one time.  Ah, the memories.  :D
BPO does not have my permission to use my photos.

I KNEW my fellow/sister BPOers would understand!! hahaha! So many people think I'm totally crazy for renting this place!

I love it! I love the smell of the hay, the horses, the leather. I love all the barn cats. I love Reggie, the farm dog. He comes and hangs out with us all of the time. I love that we have acres and acres of rolling hills, and Cabeza can just run around and be a dog. My landlady is super awesome, and I totally love her. Her son just came to stay with her cuz he had to evacuate New Orleans, and he brought his little beagle puppy with him. Her name is Tsunami Sue. So named because she would run, rear up, and plop down on all of the other pups in the litter...much like a tsunami! hahahhaa! So, its a total dog-fest around there.

Just wait til you see the pics of the view I have out my window, toriz! You're gonna FREAK! Its totally gorgeous! I'm SO LUCKY!

Oh, and did I mention that my rent is only $275/ month?! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOH! I'm in TOTAL HEAVEN!

Oh, and I can ride the horses whenever I want! AND my  landlady lets me use her washer and drier, AND she works nights, so I can go and watch her satellite TV and use her DVD player and stuff! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOH!

I'm so lucky.

Oh, you ARE so lucky!  And I am so happy that you have such an awesome place!  I would live there in a heartbeat.

At both of my past jobs that have had horses, I have always been the one that is always out in the barn hanging out with the horses.  At the Henry Ford, I divided my time between the horses, and the sheep barn.  Like you, I love the smell of the hay, the horses, the leather.  And I would also love to live in a situation like that where you could hear the horses at night, weird as that sounds.  I am one of those people that can't sleep if it is too quiet - I sleep better when there are sounds around me.  I think it would be very comforting to hear the horses at night....   :)

You have an awesome situation!  I would LOVE to live someplace like that...
