Now I have bad news
« on: November 13, 2005, 12:43:34 pm »
The producers at discovery changed their minds and my foster cats will not be on animal planet. They decided that they were to big so they are out. I judt found out last night. I'm a little diappointed but it's alright, God must have a reason. I just want to let everyone know.

I am so sorry. That really sucks!  Too big.... I think thats a pretty lame reason expecially from Discovery Channel that should love animals of all shapes and sizes.

I missed the beginning of this story. What were they going to be featured on?

I think they were looking for smaller kittens or younger ones, my 2 fosters are about 5 months old.

OH! Like the puppy bowl last year?? I was transfixed by that last year - just a bunch of puppies playing in this playpen that looked like a football field. No announcer, no plot, nothing. Just a couple cameras on the puppies, fading from one to another and the funniest thing was this poor guy that must have got hired by a temp service to dress in a referee outfit and anytime there was an "accident" on the "field" he had to throw in a yellow flag and clean it up!

I couldn't stop watching it - it was ingenious! Stupid, but ingenious! I guess they are having the "kitten bowl" this year!

I am telling you guys - this is just like a fake TV show that they show on South Park.  It is generally referenced as something that someone is watching when Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and whoever (Kenny?  Butters?) want to watch something else.

The fake show is called "Puppies From Around The World" and it is nothing but shots of a puppy playing while, say, Irish music plays.  Then a shot of another puppy playing to music from another country....

Everytime they show it, I feel compelled to scream out "I WOULD TOTALLY WATCH THAT SHOW!"   ;D

I am so sorry to hear that your kitties are not going to be able to be on the show.  They should show kitties of all sizes and ages!
