Wanted to share an update. Iz relapsed last week - we are now on two weeks with diareha - eating only rice & chicken etc. He hasn't gained any weight in 10 days ( he was averaging 5-7 pounds each week). Back to the vet yesterday - and Iz tested positive for Hook worm. The vet was also concerned about how underweight he is. I think we all feel relieved that we have a name of something to deal with. We're back to feeding food twice each day, plus oatmeal and yogurt for lunch and he gets a bedtime snack of pumpkin, banans and chicken. All designed to get weight on him while we are trying to control the diareha etc. He's on several medications as well. Our $300 tummy-ache is now a $900 issue - and unfortunately was much more than a tummy ache. Strangly, he tested negative for Hooks three times before.....
Now if we could convince him to sleep at night - we would all be doing better :)

he's 15 weeks and as of today weighs 32 pounds. He sat at the 30 pound mark for about 9 days - he had been gaining much more than that before the illness

I'm glad that you know what the problem is, and can now fix it. Back on the road to recovery! ;D
