My Dog Bailey LOVES ANYTHING PAPER! I want to know if your dog does to.   I wanted to know if other dogs do it or my dog is just crazy. If you are eating lunch and you have a hotdog with lots of toping and it gets all over your face and you use a napkin to clean your face Bailey will have his mouth watering. Not for the hotdog. For the Napkin! After he eats his food he will have a napkin for Desert. WARNING! DO NOT PUT DOG FOOD ON PAPER PLATE! IT WILL BE EATEN!

Zoey never eats paper, but she sure does like to shred it every once in awhile

Sampson will do that too! But only if you put it in the garbage.
He eats paper, nakins, saran wrap, plastic bags... any food residue on it - it must be edible to!
I found this out two summers ago, when Martin was scooping up the yard before mowing the lawn. He had me "inspect" the collections. He never owned a dog before & had no idea what was "in there" when he picked it up! At least it worked its way through!
We can't leave anything like that in the kitchen garbarge when we go out. He goes "dumpster diving" as soon as I close the front door.
But this is the weird part... I will cook dinner & leave those things on the counter to be put in the outside bins later. A few times I've forgotten to put it out right away, & we will leave the house - he won't touch them!
It's weird because he's tall enough to see them up there, & it would be easier to get to than opening the cabinet, pulling out the bin, etc.
I don't get it either.
Anyone else have similar experiences?

My pups love cardboard anything they can get there little lips on they like! They love toliet paper rolls paper towel rolls most of the time they through it up in the air catch it an d then rip it apart! fun wow oh.....oh..... .... then i have to pick up the little gummed up chewed up stuff before i vaccum!

Farley loves loves loves paper, cardboard  anything that makes a ripping tearing sound He will go dumpster diving too--although he is getting better at it. Now counter surfing is another thing He loves tp too

Kayzer loves paper! So did Sadie my other Great Dane! It seems to be the chewy of choice! Kayzer will eat some of it but he usually just tears it to pieces for me to pick up later. Card board was his favorite when we first got him but he prefers t.p. rolls and he even got a hold of my daughters home work paper and had it shredded before she could catch him. Making the phrase "the dog ate my homework" true in our house LOL

Ice, Farley looks like one of my cats. Yoshi doesn't unroll it; he bites chunks out so it looks like swiss cheese.  BTW, he's well past being a kitten and kills the TP anytime he gets a chance

When we got our Basset, she loved tearing up cereal boxes. I taught her swallowing was not good [I would reach in her mouth and pull out what I could] so she learned to spit out the pieces. Now, we give her a paper bag whenever we bring home groceries. I think she uses it as a stress reliever
The downside is picking up all the slimy bits she leaves behind on the floor Gabby, a cat, thinks the downside is getting jumped on if she decides to sleep in one

Baloo will eat anything tissue-y.  he carries it around in his mouth like a trophy.  Makes me crazy!  He's also the garbage inspector...wh en we leave I have to put the garbage on top of the washer or else I come home to a pile of it.  Fortunately he just dumps it out, takes the paper towels and leaves it alone.

Kitana loves anything paper!!! I should say she eats EVERYTHING!! Kiah doesn't touch it. She LOVES shoes & slippers though!

OMG, yesterday, after shoveling out, going out for food, taking the kids sledding, and playing outside with the dogs, all I wanted to do was to read the Sunday paper. However, Stan had other ideas.  After coming in from outside, I decide to change out of my wet clothes while Stan proceeded to attack my poor unread paper.  I was able to salvage most of it, but he continued to attack it as I read it.

I can just picture Jack. Holi does the same with the paper bags, cereal boxes, shipping boxes .... Gotta admit tho, my mom buys her AmStaff cheap squeakers whenever she goes to the store just to watch them die within 15 seconds . I get off cheap with free paper bags!

Stan is SO adorable! I miss puppies! I can just picture his antics & joy
