Give Me My Shoe!!!

This is a daily ritual Kate preforms when we get home from work.  Same thing, every day.  It totally cracks us up!

When she's excited, she shows off.  She always grabs one of our old running shoes, and plays keep away with us (grumbling the entire time).  She does this for about 5 minutes, then goes out for a pee.

She's so cute!! I love the way she talks. Just look at how big she is. It's hard to remember they are still puppies. Do leonberger's like to talk like that or is just her personality?

She sure likes the sound of her own voice - that's for sure! I think it's a combination of both being a Leo (and) her personality... 

Her doggie-dad was the same (big time talker), but her doggie-mom was a quiet gal.  I have heard from other Leo owners' though that Leo's tend to have a bit of a "grumble" all their own!

Thanks! The reason I asked is because people tell me that Kitana looks like a leo. She also grumbles and talks a lot. We'll never know what she is, but her personality is similar to a leo. I'm in the process of reading all the leo post to get more info on them. Hope you don't mind me asking a lot of questions.

Kitana totally looks like a Leo - I think I even mentioned that when you first announced you were getting her.    Perhaps she has some Leo in her somewhere, and if she's a definite grumbler - it wouldn't surprise me at all! 

OF COURSE I don't mind - fire away!!!

Rollie is a grumbler/talker also. But not when he takes something - then he is trying to be quiet!

Hee hee - Eric isn't one to say how much he loves Kate (but) you can just tell she's got him wrapped around his finger with his baby-talk!  Not to mention the fact that she has HIS shoe in her mouth and is getting away with it!!! 

That's because Rollie is a smarty-pants, Kate is the farthest thing from 'discreet'!
