Baloo meets Dot...

He notices the cockatiel....


Decides to get a better look...

And 30 seconds later decided to eat her.  Caleb can sure move fast for an 8 yr old!  Dot is safely in her cage...and Baloo no longer gets to visit.

Dogs and birds...what a pair. 
I hada beagle who ate a parakeet once.  Only way we knew where the bird went was by looking at the feather sticking out of Cricket's mouth.

You are one brave girl.  Dixie would have had the bird in her mouth in 1 second flat.  Dixie runs around looking for birds next so she can "play/eat" them.

Sorry the meeting didn't work out well, but Baloo looks FANTASTIC!  Looks like his new home life is agreeing with him.
