I'd say beer with beef flavouring is rather odd, but here in England such things are quite normal with some of our real ales. There's a medieval recipe for 'Cock Ale' which involves adding a partially boiled and mashed up rooster to the beer as it brews!

However, this wouldn't be suitable for dogs as you also add 5 pounds of raisins.

I've never had a beerhound, but both my shar-pei were a pair of alcoholics because my mum used to ply them with it when she visited. They were very discerning - whisky and coke was their favourite. I remember my mum getting vodka once for a change and neither of them would touch the vodka and coke - she got daggers from Phoebe all night! They also liked red wine, but not white... and I must had they literally only got a few licks from granny's fingers as I don't approve!
Flynn is teetotal and looks at his granny like she's lost her marbles when she tries to ply him with booze. It's coming up for St Paddy's day - I wonder if he'd like a guinness as he was born in Ireland, begorrah.
