Pyrenees needs a new home, TN
« on: March 30, 2006, 09:27:52 pm »
A girl I know is rehoming her Great Pyrenees. He is a 2 year old male, 100 lbs, unneutered, has been living outside his whole life. He has just recently started fighting with her pit bull and she is afraid the dogs will injure each other. He has always gotten along well with other animals until now.
There is no adoption fee.

Any takers??? I have never met the dog but I have heard great things about him, and they want him out of their house asap, unfortunately. ..  :-[

I have a friend that is looking for a pyr but he would be indoors at the time since she is in the process of buying a house and is in an apartment right now. If you can pm me more info so I can forward to her.

I got a little more info on the big guy today. His name is Roman. He has dark grey ears and also a spot on his back. His owner still thinks he is a very sweet dog and she wouldn't worry about him with other dogs... she thinks it is a personal thing with their pit bull (maybe because the pit gets to come inside and the pyr doesn't?).

And Roman gets along fine with cats. One thing she did mention is that apparently they have been slack with the heartworm prevention so he may have heartworms. :-[ But she plans on having a test done before he goes to his new home. He was kept inside when he was a baby, but I am not sure he was socialized enough because now he is shy with new people. His birthday is Valentine's Day.

I have the owner's email if anyone is interested in contacting her. :)
