people have tried to tell me, but i can't figure out how to post a pic as a part of the message, and what i really want to do is have a pic for an avatar! i can't get it!!!! HEEEELLLPP!!!

Ok to get a picture in the middle of the reply you can use an image host like photobucket.co m (it's free and what I use) all you do is upload them at their website and copy the [Img] tag and put it in where you want the pic to go.  Another way is to click the additional options at the bottom of the reply and click browse and select the pic you want from your files.  It puts the photos at the end of the reply.  I'm not sure how you convert Nikon View to jpeg because I have Cannon and Sony digital cameras which load automatically as jpegs.  But check the Nikon website, they may have instructions.  For avatar pics you go to the user profile info page and to the section where you can change your profile info and load a pic from your computer(You may need to resize it because I believe there is a size restriction of 200KB on the avatar but I may be wrong).  Good luck I hope this helps.
