Sadie is free. Animal Control dropped by this afternoon to confirm that, yes, she is still alive and isn't sick.
It was weird, too, b/c I was off today (coincidentally took the day off a few weeks back just to give myself a long weekend). I waited until almost 3:30, and no one had come by. I was just about to leave (had the lights off, dogs in the kitchen, and was grabbing my purse and shoes) when the officer knocked on the door. I wonder if she thought I always kept them babygated in my kitchen. I said "I was about to..." and I was going to say call, b/c I needed to leave to go to the bank and didn't want to miss them. But she broke in and said, "I got lost and it took me about 20 minutes to find the right road. I'm sorry I'm late." Late? They didn't tell me I had an appointment... I wouldn't have waited around ALL day if I'd known.
Oh, well. Sadie's off of doggy parole, so all is good.
