Simon's acting funny and he's thrown up twice today need advice ASAP

He threw up everything he ate this afternoon. Now tonight, he threw up again but it was just clear liquid. He's been sleeping all this evening. He has also been "stretching" his neck out tonight a few times. This morning he was fine...playing ...eating. I just haven't seen him act like this before. He was on a soft diet this week post neuter, but the vet said he could be put back on his regular diet by this weekend. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to get alarmed but the thing I don't like is him craneing his neck.

Oh no!  Poor Simon and poor you!  I don't know what could cause this.  Is it possible he ate something that scratched his throat or a small piece of something got stuck?  It does sound like it bothers him.  Is it possible to call your vet for advice?

Awww poor guy!!  I'd call the vet just for piece of mind, but he may feel much better tomorrow.  Sometimes when Koby gets sick he'll hack and gag like somethings in his throat but I think sometimes the vomit can irritate the lining of the esophagus.  I hope he feels better soon!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who answered my post last night. I was really worried about Simon. I slept on the couch with him last night. He threw up once more and then slept all night. I woke up with him sniffing my hair and wagging his tail. He is feeling better this morning. He played with Heidi a little when they went out to potty. I called my vet this morning and he said that it sounded like his throat was irritated...pr obably from the throwing up. Good call guys!!! But he's back to a soft diet for a few more days. Momma gets to cook for him some more...I'm sure he'll love that. But thanks again!!! It's nice to know I can hop on here and have someone to help.
