she's happy not to have to wear that thing anymore.  I am too.
she's in great sprits.  i know she wants back in the game so badly.  We're in the itchy licky stage.
she's finally got her appetite back.  i think she ate a horse tonight.  Moving is still a challange and getting comfy is hard, but over all she's doing very well.

Good! Is she able to put any weight on the leg at all or stand by herself? And Grace must miss her playing buddy lots! Is Grace laughing herself silly at Lady's cone?  ;)

She tries to put weight on it.  She toe touches and that's it.  When I leash walk her in the yard for potty she really books it to her favorite pee spot.  I worry and get anxious that she's pushing it too much, but she seems ok.
she's got the vet's approval to baby it for at least 4 weeks.

Grace hasn't played much since Lady came home all bandaged up.  It's just no fun without her big sister i guess.
Grace isn't sure what to make of the cone.  she sniffed it and bounced back when she saw it the first time.  she doesn't want anything to do with it at all.

How is it possible for Lady to make an ugly e-collar look stylish and beautiful?  I'm glad she's feeling better and got her appetite back.  I know you can't wait for her to get all better.  Give her a big hug from me and one for Grace too.

Awww, she looks SO miserable in that thing!  I'm sure glad she doesn't have to wear it anymore.  It sounds like she's well on the road to recovery, Lin.  Isn't it amazing how resilient dogs are?  If I had had that surgery I would not leave my bed and I would demand ice cream on regular intervals!  Wait.  I already do that.  Hmmm.   ;D ;D ;D
she is miserable in it.  she's been warned that if she doesn't stop lickng her leg (We took the bandages off yesterday since they were falling down to her ankle) that she will have to wear it again during the day.  :)  but yeah...she's recovering well.  not fasy enough for her tastes, but well.  it's going to be a long 3 months.

I'm so glad that she is doing well. Maybe she wants to wear her cone Lin- that way she gets super-duper TLC from you.  ;) Bear send slobbery hugs and kisses her way and we all wish her a speedy recovery. 3 months is a long time!
Hugs,

we tried the sour apple on her front paw and it's helping ... she has a really long neck and can reach her back leg.  we'll see when i get home tonight how it worked out not having the cone on her head today.
