Anyone near GA looking for a Dane to RESCUE?

This guy is in serious need of rescue!!!!
I am seriously considering going to this shelter and getting him the heck outta there, but the last time I did that my "foster"(Connor) turned permanent!

Can anyone help this boy? I could help with transport! He needs some love!!!!! (Looks like Demodex, maybe?)

<kicking self in butt> i wish i could, but with the way vet bills have been racking up around here, i believe hubby would slaughter me..    real shame i can't help, i'm only 45 minutes from him.

I wish that I could help, but I am at my limit and Jake is not going to let another male dog in the house. Whatever is ailing the big guys skin could probably be resolved fairly easily. We had one with sarcoptic mange and she did great in treatment and it wasnt that expensive.

I know how you feel, I am so close but it would be a crazy thing for me to go get this dog.

I wonder if we could contact someone with Dane Train?? Wonder if they would go and get him.

if the dane train did get him, where would they bring him though?  maybe we could contact one of the dane rescues, he looks so pitiful maybe they'll make room (or even better have it!)

Isn't there a rescue thar handles the Georgia area?  Or contact any of the other rescues - I guess. Poor baby - I would take him but I am getting my deaf dane next week - it would be too much

There is not a Great Dane rescue in Ga. There are a few all-breed rescues who take in Danes though.

OMG poor poor boy!  Hopefully one of the rescues around there will take him in, he looks so sad!

I posted him on a Great Dane rescue list that does a really good job of figuring out stuff like this.

There are PLENTY more Danes out there in need of homes!!! What are you looking for? I know of a few more right now... there's a black female who immediately comes to mind, she is in a shelter here in GA. And there are loads being given up in the petfinder classifieds!!!! Check there!!! YOU WILL FIND ONE!!!!!!! For some reason (I noticed this last year too) a lot of people give up dogs around this time of year. SO last year we got Leeloo!!!
